Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2008, Saturday Afternoon (Part I)

The sun was shining over the front lawn of the school (except for the part of the bleachers covered by an awning, in case anyone with sun issues had shown up), and the temperature had thankfully turned out to be perfect for the occasion. There was a stage placed prominently on the lawn, set up with a podium and a number of heavy metal chairs for the administration and guests. In front of the stage were platforms with more of the metal chairs; they'd been painted blue and gold, and were sitting empty and waiting for the arrival of the class of 2008. There were bleachers on each side of the platforms, for students, family, friends, alumni, and residents of the town who wanted to come and watch.

Alas, it was time for another class to graduate.

Like last year, it'll be kind of hard to miss the events of the second post, so you might want to hold off an any post-graduation posts for a while to avoid being Jossed.]

Johnny squeezed her hand a little tighter as he glanced out over the graduation class. He really didn't know what to say.

"... you could hold another try out?"

She smiled at him. "Oh, that's already in the plans what with the new kids coming soon."

"Well that's something to look forward to. Not that you would ever think I would try out, right?" Because... no.

She gave him an innocent look.

"Tight pants, surrounded by girls in tiny skirts... throwing us into the air...."

Yeah, he knew well what was behind that innocent look.

"You're right, maybe I would enjoy myself tossing girls in the air in their tiny skirts," he teased, managing an innocent look himself.

"I could choreograph a try-out routine for you," she teased.

"I think I will just sit in the bleachers, cheer you on. How about that?"

Savannah laughed softly. "All right."

"Of course, if you ever need a guest superhero that can light himself on fire, I'm your guy," he smirked.

She gave him a thoughtful look.

"You know... that could be something really cool to do at a pep assembly..."
