BWI Airport, Portalocity Lounge, Saturday Morning
So everyone else had, like, dramatic backstories and reasons to show up here and stuff. Which was fine, you know, if you were emotionally in the zone enough to go to those kinda lengths. Denise had just been, you know, chilling with her dad last night watching some hockey guys really pound in on each other - no, seriously, really get into it. One of them broke a rib or something, which was kinda cool.
Then she'd been dropped off at the airport, gotten a ticket stuffed into her hands, and that was that. No reason to get all dramatic and touchy-feely about it.
And now it was Saturday morning and she was on the airport. Sitting around. Chugging water and listening to her discman while watching the kids down the hall, trying to figure out how they were gonna croak. Sure, there was some kind of shuttle supposed to show up, but it wasn't there yet. A girl had to keep herself busy.
She figured the dweebs starting to mill around the terminal were probably classmates or something. Lame.
[[wait for the ocd up! ]]

Re: Waiting for the Shuttle
The blonde in her crisp suit, with the equally smart black suitcase, gave the other girl a stiff nod as she found herself a place to... wait.
Rosalind wasn’t enthused about sitting down but her legs kindly informed her that travel through portal—which was a headache and a half all by itself; Tseng thought she would be safe in another universe?—and the ensuing walk was really quite enough for the moment.
Was she supposed to say hi? Rosalind sighed inaudibly and idly flipped through the pamphlet for the fourteenth time, while doing her very best to not look as awkward or tired as she felt.
Two days from a coma and back to high school. Sigh.

Re: Waiting for the Shuttle
He'd just take off when he turned eighteen in the fall. That was the agreement, that was the plan.
So he stood there in the lounge, next to his suitcases, completely unaware of what he'd really gotten himself into. But he was keeping a careful watch on the other people around. After all, he needed to know if there were any potential partners in crime.

Re: Waiting for the Shuttle
Reluctantly, she approached the group of teenagers she assumed were also waiting to go to this lame summer camp. She placed her suitcase on the ground and sorta waved awkwardly, not sure at all what to expect.

Re: Waiting for the Shuttle
CarawayHeartilly had run away from home at age 16 with only a duffel bag over her shoulder. Well, and a rolling suitcase or two. And some money, but the point was? She had left most of her stuff behind, before accumulating new stuff. She really hated to do all of that over again, was all. So she had probably brought more than she strictly needed, but even Edea couldn't say how long she'd be here, so it was better to be prepared.
Squall was being all manly-man and insisting on carrying most of it, and she'd gotten tired quickly of fighting him about it, so she'd put Angelo on a leash and let him fight with the suitcases.
She was not exactly sure why he needed to come all the way out to her new school before going back again, but he was probably just being protective again. Very sweet of him. She was not going to think about how much she'd miss him.
When she reached the lounge, she found a seat before unclipping Angelo from her leash -- she was too much of a good girl to go wandering off, thankfully, instead sitting by Rinoa's feet and staying alert.
She smiled at the others. They must be her new classmates-to-be! She waved at anyone who glanced, wondering who to approach first.
(all squall-modding done with permission! no, she doesn't realize he's staying, just yet. HELLO PEOPLES!)

Re: Waiting for the Shuttle
There was also the fear that she'd be outed as an impostor within seconds of opening her mouth, and then where would she be?
So she was keeping her mouth determinedly shut as she rolled her bags over to the shuttle area, and discreetly watching her fellow passengers for cues.
Or just looking confused and anxious. That worked too.

Re: Waiting for the Shuttle
For now though there was a seven foot tall Supertrooper making his way through the crowd towards the area he was supposed to be, so far all he had received were the occasional odd looks but no one had started running screaming in the opposite direction as he approached...yet.

Not that there was any reason to be nervous, of course.
She was trying to look cool about it, though, offering friendly little smiles in case that'd help her any.

Re: Waiting for the Shuttle
It was noisy, far too crowded and smelled.
God help them. They needed to pretend to be just like these people.
Blackagar looked around, keeping a wary eye on anything that might have presented as a threat to their safety. And, maybe, just watching to watch. It was so different.

Moving all the luggage would be so much easier if she could use her hair in front of these people. If she didn't need to get along with them, she would so be working up to a good pout.

Which meant it was perfect for someone like her. She'd made her goodbyes to Jasper, hopped the portal, and here she was.
She settled into a chair, purse plopped on the chair next to her.
