So everyone else had, like, dramatic backstories and reasons to show up here and stuff. Which was fine, you know, if you were emotionally in the zone enough to go to those kinda lengths. Denise had just been, you know, chilling with her dad last night watching some hockey guys really pound in on each other - no, seriously, really get into it. One of them broke a rib or something, which was kinda cool.

Then she'd been dropped off at the airport, gotten a ticket stuffed into her hands, and that was that. No reason to get all dramatic and touchy-feely about it.

And now it was Saturday morning and she was on the airport. Sitting around. Chugging water and listening to her discman while watching the kids down the hall, trying to figure out how they were gonna croak. Sure, there was some kind of shuttle supposed to show up, but it wasn't there yet. A girl had to keep herself busy.

She figured the dweebs starting to mill around the terminal were probably classmates or something. Lame.

Ooo. She seemed like fun!

"Hi!" Dandelion said bouncing up to the "Woooooooooo" girl. "I'm Dandelion! I love your hair. I think I've seen it someplace before..."

Like... On her own head. Give her a minute.

She was fun! And madness, but shh.

"I'm Delirium! Your name has a D too!!" And that like the next best thing since cotton candy colored hair dye. She shook her head, hair waving proudly. "I think I've seen it somewhere else too!" Like, in front of her!

Oh my god!

"You did? Where?!" Dandelion said in awe. "We have to figure out where it's been!"

"No. Idea!" Probably it was her own hair that she had seen. Getting into a thoughtful stance, Delirium tried to ponder when could they find hair like that.

"Dream would know..." Or Daniel; she wasn't sure of how to call him anymore.

"Well that's no good!" Dandelion said waving her arms. "I'm not even tired!"

"No need! Dream can make you, um, sleep with sand and magic and...um, dreams!" It made perfect sense, really!

Dandelion looked around very carefully before responding.

"Is he a viking?" she whispered back.

"" Although that sounded like a funny thing to be. "Destruction is, um, closer to a vicking."

"But he's not actually of the pointy hats and bad football team, right?" Dandelion asked. "Because a viking is an evil thing indeed."

"N-no! Destruction is very very very nice, and he paints, and, um, um, doesn't like to actually destroy things, so he quit, um, some time ago. Yes. Because destroying is, um, bad."

"Then he's clearly not a viking," Dandelion said with a sense of approval. "I approve of this."

Yep. Complete approval.

Apparently not being a viking was a good thing. Hm. "No, he's nice." It was good than Dandelion approved, she thought. She was nice. And had pretty hair.

"Why are you, um, here?"

"Isn't this the bus stop?" she asked looking confuzzled. "Or is that a broader question?"

"...." Was she asking the wrong things again?
