Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

Ivanova smirked, but refrained from overusing the old 'kick ass and chew bubblegum' line. Especially since she still had some in her pocket.

The hookers stared at the armored person for a long moment. She reminded them of someone. Possibly Gail. Then they shrugged and started checking their weapons over for the coming battle. This was going to be fun.

The snowmen are getting close now. They start to yell as they approach. Some are throwing snow and ice balls at the defenders.

The ice balls make a nice impact on the armour, but it doesn't do that much and Tex doesn't bother running for cover as she sends bullets into the nearest snowmen.

Lyta stands, furrowing her brow at the battle cry. As a snowball whizzes past her head with astonishing velocity, she whirls on one of them, eyes narrowed and dark. "You did not just throw that at me --"

She gives one The Stare™, and suddenly feels as though she's eaten ice cream too quickly. Turning slightly, she forces her way past the pain and continues the mental assault.

How did you scramble a snowman, anyway?

The whores are happily firing away at the snowmen when suddenly one of the blondes falls over. "Shit! My ankle!"

"Oh, real smooth, Wendy." Everyone else just keeps shooting.

At the back of the line, the Doctor focuses on his sword. He douses a thick strip of fur from his coat in lighter fluid, wraps it several around the blade, close to the hilt, but far enough away from his hands. This was going to be shit for the sword, in the long run. "Bloody primitive," he mutters as he puts his gloves on, then flicks something on his sonic screwdriver, pointing it at the fur...which bursts into flame. Waiting for a moment, he lets it heat the metal, and then looks around for some snow monsters.

Fraser's made it outside the gym and immediately is grateful to be wearing the Sam Browne's. Red against the snow wouldn't be too helpful.

It worked over at Logan's house. Only this time Angel's got a lot more supplies on hand.

He takes stakes that he's soaked in lighter fuel, lights them, and starts throwing them at the monsters.

"Now there's some nice toys," Cameron says as he fires at a snowman but it seems to be taking a whole lot of bullets before it has any effect.

"Watch where you throw those, kid." Tex shouted as she lunged at a snowman and stuck her energy blade right through its head.

Peter, miraculously still wearing his ski mask five minutes into a fight, hurried over to Angel and made a quick request. "Hey! You have flaming weapons to use on these guys?" he asked.

"Got any fuel left for us?" Ivanova says, laying down her own coverfire as she and Lyta slowly rejoin the group. "Our PPGs don't quite seem to be doing the trick."

Deb and Carl, each armed with a blaster, take up position on the lines and wait.

"Bullets aren't going to do it are they, Debbie?" Carl asks.

"They sure aren't. Fucking zombies, now snow monsters. Some kind of town."

"You love it," Carl says, stealing a kiss before the chaos hits.

"Hey, Deb," Ivanova grits as she drops an expended energy pack from her PPG and loads another. "Glad you could make it. And how are we this fine evening?" She fired into the snow things. The superheated compressed gas was doing a far better job of exploding things than bullets

Peter, wearing a ski mask in a vain attempt to protect keep his powers secret while still doing some good, arrived late and saw the battle going on.

He lept and threw a kick at the nearest snowman's head. It popped off. "Huh. That's weird."

Blair sticks his head out a window and yells in the general direction of the snowmen. "Let's give peace a chance, man! Stop the violence!"
