Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

"With what?" asks Aeryn, who can't believe she didn't think of this before.

"Branches and lighter fuel?" He motions to the stuff Angel brought. "Shout a tree?" He suggests as he throws another stake.

All around, cries of "Exterminate! Exterminate!" can be heard, as the snow monsters move in.

"Whoa," Cameron gulped and quickly threw as many stakes at the snowmen as he possibly could. "I don't think they like that idea."

Aeryn trains one gun on the snow monsters, turning her head to aim for the nearest tree and shoot a branch off. She stops shooting long enough to retrieve it, begins breaking pieces off, then strips off some of the wet bark where she can.

From there it's light and throw.

Cameron is firing frantically at the snowmen. "Can you make me a long one and just light the top?" He shouts at Aeryn.

Aeryn uses one of the knives to cut off a bigger piece, lighting it and handing it over. "Good?"

"Yes!" Cameron grins and then charges right into the snow monsters, much like he had done with the zombies. He waves his branch around and tries to keep them at bay.

Barely missing Cam, the Doctor's heated claymore slashes a snowalien in half. Ten barely notices, fighting like he's crazed, ducking the fire branches just enough to cleave right down the pieces of alien vertically.

"Whoa, student here! I know I look cold," Cameron remarks and moves to the side a bit. He only belatedly noticed the snowman charging up at him. An icy tentacle lashes out and cuts into his cheek. Gritting his teeth, Cameron pushes the burning branch right into the monsters chest.

The cries become louder now as their brothers and sisters are slashed. From the back, a giant monster comes forward.

"You're frelling kidding me. Where did it come from?" Aeryn grumbles, and quickly changes the cartridge to her pulse rifle to start shooting again.

It takes a good few seconds before Ten looks up. "Merciful mother of God..."

And the fur wrapped around his sword burns itself out.

"Oh, great." Peter lit and threw three stakes at the monster.

Pelted by gunshots and stakes, the Abominable Snowman lets out a huge growl, but continues its advance towards the group.

A few more movements, and he can tell he's in trouble...the claymore's definitely not as effective as it should be, had been a few minutes ago. Fortunately, ideas have been running through the Doctor's brain. Glancing at Aeryn, Peter, and Cam, he nods curtly and heads back for the school. "I'll be back."

This calls for more than a sword.

"Damn, they're getting uglier," Tex remarked, shrugged and charged forward with her energy sword. "Let's play."

Okay, that looked shootable. Cameron got out his P-90 and started firing at its head.

The monsters stop their advance as flames are waved in front of them. Small bullets of ice are shot from their guns and their cries of "Exterminate" do not cease.

Cameron tries to cover himself but he ends up with a couple of cuts as it slides through his coat. Growling, he leaps forwars and wields the torch at them, belatedly realising the flame died out when he pierced that other monster. "Damn."

A pellet of ice cuts the Doctor across the left side of his face, but he keeps running straight into the line of fire. "Fuck you," he mutters, ice bullets whipping across his clothes and ricocheting off his sword, blood running into one eye.

He approaches the front line and begins to whack away at them, but the fur flame lining is running low...

Once again. This is why leather is good. It's tough material. Aeryn shoots one in the head, then again in the chest, then again towards the... legs?

"Whoa!" Cameron ducked as he was a bit close to the snow monsters and moved away from the firing. "Errr, can you shoot another branch?"

Aeryn does so, watching as it drops to the ground. "There you go."

She puts the pulse rifles back into their holsters, lights the last bigger piece, and sticks it into the head of the closest snow monster. Because she's getting pissed off now and that's not pretty.

The Doctor hears the sound and freezes. No pun intended. Looking as if he's finally lost it, he runs past Cam and Aeryn, flaming sword (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/572795.html?thread=27377787#t27377787) in hand, and begins to hack at the snowDaleks, screaming.
