Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

Deb and Carl, each armed with a blaster, take up position on the lines and wait.

"Bullets aren't going to do it are they, Debbie?" Carl asks.

"They sure aren't. Fucking zombies, now snow monsters. Some kind of town."

"You love it," Carl says, stealing a kiss before the chaos hits.

"Hey, Deb," Ivanova grits as she drops an expended energy pack from her PPG and loads another. "Glad you could make it. And how are we this fine evening?" She fired into the snow things. The superheated compressed gas was doing a far better job of exploding things than bullets

"Great," Deb says, shooting carefully. She's taking a while to get the feel of the blaster. "Just great. How about you, honey?"

She shoots another snowmonster, half melting-half exploding it.

"I'm doing fine," Ivanova muttered. "Was thinking of - ugh!" She twisted sideways as she was pegged by a tightly-packed snowball on the arm, sending tingles up her shoulder and down to her wrist.

"You okay?" Deb lets Carl shoot and checks Susan's arm.

She switched the PPG to her other hand, firing more-or-less straight as she shook it out, flexing her fingers. "I'm fine. Must have hit a nerve cluster or something. It'll be all better in a second."

The Doctor runs up next to them. "How much ammunition do you have left for that thing?"

Deb looks over the blaster. "I'm at about 3/4 charge it looks like. Carl, how're you holding up?" She covers him while he checks. "Closer to 2/3ds for me. We got these from that Solo kid, tall, skinny, used to live by the park."

Ivanova looks at him, blinking hard at the abruptness of his question. "Another two dozen packs, why?"

"Don't know how long we're going to be out here..." He gestures over to where a snowman is reforming with two heads.

"They'll last," she replied firmly, taking careful aim at the general neck area of the two-headed snowthing.
