Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

"Which only proves my point," C'mere little fishies, Auntie Callisto has something for you. "Heroing gets you dead, fast. And I don't need to be protected."

"I don't think you do," Angel said. He kept the gun trained on the ground. Any second now was going to be more icy teeth and he did not want the shirt ruined too. "But if we're teaming up why shouldn't I take the damage so that you can keep on fighting?"

"Because splitting your focus like that just makes you more likely to take unnecessary damage, and less likely to actually kill the enemy!" Callisto found herself humming that stupid bass line. "I know how to take care of myself."

"So what if I take damage?" Angel asked. Was that a fin he saw just a few feet away or just a trick of the light? "It's not like it matters!"

"Because of course it doesn't matter if one of our better fighters gets taken out!" Callisto thwapped him upside the head. "Tell me are you really that stupid, or is it just the matyrdom complex talking?"

"Ow!" Angel rubbed his head. "Hand with stake! And it'd be fine. You'd still be here!"

"I cannot believe I'm hearing this," If looks could kill the patch of snow she was scanning would have melted instantly. "It would not be fine if you got yourself killed!"

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not saying I have to be killed," Angel said. "Just that it wouldn't matter. There's worlds of difference."

"Wouldn't matter? Of course it would matter!" Eat flame snow shark. "Leaving aside the whole losing an experienced fighter in the middle of a battle, you don't think anyone would be upset that you got yourself killed because you have this insane notion of being worthless except for cannon fodder."

"I didn't say I was worthless just that I can take a hit and not worry about - " Angel paused. He looked at her. "Upset?"

"Yes, upset." Callisto crossed her arms and glared at Angel. "As in not happy."

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
A small smile touched his lips. "Really?"

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Callisto continued glaring. "Yes. Extremely not happy in fact."

Angel took a step closer. "I didn't know you - duck!"

Though the last word was inappropriate, really, because what was actually coming at them was a shark.

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Callisto turned to see the shark flying towards them teeth bared. "Frak!"

She threw a stake at it. Pity it fizzled out just as it hit the shark.

Angel fired a pulse from the gun but it was either jammed or running low on juice. "Tell me you brought sharp things."

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
"I always bring sharp things," Callisto drew her sword and tossed another to Angel. "It's just not a party without them."

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Angel grinned as he caught the sword. "Seriously. Sex later. I'll go right, you go left?"

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
"Sounds like a plan to me," Callisto grinned a very predatory grin as she moved to the left of the thrashing snow shark.

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
Angel went right. On an unspoken count of three, he lunged forward, angling the sword so that it would slice through the shark's side from mouth to tail.

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
It was so helpful of the shark to keep moving forward as Callisto stabbed into it. It made the slicing and dicing part of the job much easier.

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
Angel pivoted around once he got to the end of the shark. He stepped back and watched as the two halves of it flailed, then disintegrated into powder.

"Okay, that was disturbing."

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
"But fun," Callisto grinned, shaking water off her sword. "And look, no damage taken."

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] notstakedyet.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
"If only they were all so easy," Angel said. He motioned to the remaining snow creatures. "Shall we?"

Re: In front of the gym

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-29 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Gentlemen first," Callisto grinned and brought up her sword again.
