Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

A huge snow monster advances on her, with tentacles waving about.

Turning, Lyta stares hard at the monster, directing a full mind-blast, and pulling the trigger on her PPG at the same time, aiming for the head.

Ivanova struggled to one knee, still a bit winded, and fires at the thing's gut. A moment later she's shivering as she's splattered with snow and ice.

"Do we have any idea what's generating these things?" She looks around at all the snow. Talk about camouflage!

~~Lyta pauses. "Or is this just all just gratuitous violence for sweeps?"~~

~~"Definitely. They finally wrote me some lovin'"~~

"No idea," Ivanova said, climbing to her feet finally. "It's below freezing, so whatever we melt will just reform." She armed another grenade and threw it into a mass of snowthings.

There is a high pitched scream as snow flies everywhere.

Lyta looks to Ivanova. "Was that a scream?"

More snowmen advance, saying something suspiciously like, "Exterminate!"

"Screaming is new. That's definitely new." Ivanova backed up a few steps, firing the PPG at increasingly short range. "Any luck with the mindfucking?"

Lyta shakes her head. "I can't tell. At this point, I'm just throwing everything I have -- mental and plasma."

Turning, Lyta arches a thin brow over a shaded eye. "Londo was right... they do develop language skills..." She turned and fired the PPG.

Ivanova tossed her a grenade and pulled the pin on a second one, tossing it in front of them. "These seem to be the most effective," she grunted. "But I only got a few more. Any ideas?"

Lyta grits her teeth, firing again. "In. seriously. short. supply." Each word is punctuated by a shot.

A snowthing loomed up in front of her and she snarled. Time to release some pent-up frustation. She drove a foot into its chest, hoping that would make it stay down as she swept her leg out and around, ripping it in two.

"Extermi--" the cry is cut off as the monster explodes into powder.

Lyta fired as more advanced. "We've got to find a way to stop these things. They keep turning up!"

Ivanova cast a desperate look around. "Melting. Melting seems to be working. Looks like the rest of our group has it covered. Let's join them." She clenched her teeth. Curse Blair for distracting her away from the rest of them.

Holstering her PPG, Lyta jogs a bit behind Ivanova as they move to rejoin the crew.

[No worries. I'm making a leetle toorkey burd for dinner, so I'm kinda slow, too.]

Ivanova fires backwards, over Lyta's shoulder, as they move towards Angel (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/572795.html?thread=27449467#t27449467").
