Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

[[OOC: If people choose to leave the building to fight, please organize yourselves into groups (preferably in the gym thread) and post your location in the subject line. This will make it a lot easier for me to keep track of everything.]]

"It must be love, man." Cameron grins and picks one up. He quickly lights it and throws it at a snowman.

"Nice and warm too." He grins, then gets an icebal right in the stomach. "Ow!" He throws another burning stake right at the thrower's head.

"Watch out for tentacles," Angel said.

"Since when do snowmen have tentacles?" Cameron asked and threw another stake. It went right through the snowman, but the thing kept running towards them. "Wow, they move fast."

Cameron shot at it with his P-90, only last minute did its head blow up all over him, leaving Cameron snow white and wet.

"The one at Logan's house did," Angel said. He kept his eye on one monster in particular. He aimed and readied to throw. "Tore the house down and - damn it!"

Angel cried out as another monster, unseen by him, impaled him on the shoulder by throwing a shard of ice that was not dissimilar to a stake in shape.

Apparently snow monsters liked symmetry.

"Angel!" Cameron threw two stakes at the monster before moving closer. "Damn, you okay?" He asked, but more snow monsters were approaching and he fired his P-90 into them. Some scattered but more kept coming.

Angel gritted his teeth and yanked the shard of ice out of his shoulder. There was a muffled grunt of pain as he did it.

"I don't like these guys," he said, by way of an answer.

Cameron winced. "Me neither, you should get back." He picked up another stake, lit it and throw it into the fray. "I'm a Southern guy, damnit!"

The snowmen suddenly released a huge wave of snowballs and they continued to move on the gym.

There were just too many balls to duck and Cameron was hit back and fell to the ground. He rolled onto his stomach and quicky fired at the charging snowmen.

There's not much in the way of defense, so Aeryn gets hit with a few of them, but she raises both the guns in both hands to keep shooting. Because it's canon and it's badass.

The snow monsters are stopped in their tracks by the hotness slowed down, but they they keep coming.

Slower means they're easier to hit. Cameron throws a couple more stakes at the monsters and wonders why they seem to be staring at Aeryn so much.

This looks familiar. Really familiar. Aeryn would take it all off to see if that worked, but that would just make her cold.

Looking around for something flammable, she keeps shooting.

"How about making torches?" Cameron suggests, getting a bit annoyed at how many bullets he needs to fire before getting any result.

"With what?" asks Aeryn, who can't believe she didn't think of this before.

"Branches and lighter fuel?" He motions to the stuff Angel brought. "Shout a tree?" He suggests as he throws another stake.

All around, cries of "Exterminate! Exterminate!" can be heard, as the snow monsters move in.

"Whoa," Cameron gulped and quickly threw as many stakes at the snowmen as he possibly could. "I don't think they like that idea."

Aeryn trains one gun on the snow monsters, turning her head to aim for the nearest tree and shoot a branch off. She stops shooting long enough to retrieve it, begins breaking pieces off, then strips off some of the wet bark where she can.

From there it's light and throw.

Cameron is firing frantically at the snowmen. "Can you make me a long one and just light the top?" He shouts at Aeryn.

The Doctor hears the sound and freezes. No pun intended. Looking as if he's finally lost it, he runs past Cam and Aeryn, flaming sword (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/572795.html?thread=27377787#t27377787) in hand, and begins to hack at the snowDaleks, screaming.

Angel didn't know the meaning of the words 'get back when a fight was going on'. Well he did but pretending like he didn't saved time on arguments.

He shook it off like his shoulder was only a flesh wound, and resumed fighting.

"What can we do that's bigger? There's snow everywhere. If they're made out of this we could be screwed for months."

"Bigger, better, faster." Tex came out of nowhere and threw a grenade at the snowballs. "I'm feeling like ice cream," she smirked and handed Angel a couple grenades before jumping right back in the fight with her sword.

Angel grinned. "You just got my vote."

He looked for a cluster of snowbeats that was thick enough and not close to any mortals, then pulled the pin and threw.

The grenade impacts and snow goes everywhere as five snowmen explode. They won't be reforming.
