Study Hall - Monday, September 19th
Welcome to the study hall for Monday.
I spent yesterday in my tower room with a bottle of Captain Morgan and a carton of cigarettes and I haven't held a gun in twenty-four hours. Needless to say, I am not in the best of fuckin' moods, and the first student to try anything is getting detention. Hell, the first teacher to try anything with me may get detention.
*glares at students across the study hall teacher's desk, props her booted feet on the corner of the desk, and flashes a dirty look to everybody who walks past*
Your announcements for today:
-- As some of you who didn't already know may have found out this weekend, we do have werewolves on campus. The curfew is there for a reason, people. And on the nights of the full moon, you WILL be in your dorm rooms by the time the moon rises. No exceptions.
-- For anyone who may have missed it, homecoming's coming up soon. Also,
fandomhitunes has arrived.
-- The door of locker 327 is stuck open and won't fucking shut. There's your warning.
-- The cafeteria will be serving any meal you ask for today on request, but please keep in mind that the cafeteria workers think someone poured a potion or something into one of the vats, and since they were pretty sure it wasn't hazardous, they went and started serving anyway. I really have to fire those fucking bastards sooner or later.
Jesus, I need a gun. *squirms*
Maybe if I just hold a water pistol, it'll take the edge off ...

So, do you often think of stripping me naked (http://www.livejournal.com/users/psycho_barbie/4085.html?thread=22261#t22261)?

It's not the same as a gun, but then, she hadn't been carrying anyway. It ruined the lines of her suit)

She spots Parker, and drops into the seat next to her.

Yo, Principal Connor.
Since I live off campus, I still got my gun... if you ever want to, just stop by the Millenium Falcon and I'll let you handle my shotgun, alright
baby?::Must. Not. Call. Principal. Baby.::

Make sure that shotgun doesn't make it onto campus, Mr. Williams, and I'll make sure it doesn't make it up your ass.

Medusa had laughed upon seeing the subject heading, but Wednesday was having difficulty in understanding exactly why. To her mind, the Suburbian subculture was the perfect topic.

She scribbles a note, folds it neatly, and flings it so that it lands on the table in front of him.

Stupid classes. Why the hell did I ever sign up for them? Oh, yeah. I wanted to have something to relate to Dr. Jackson about. Stupid classes.

Let me know if you find anything interesting in those books.

"Principal Connor? I was talking with Professor Jerusalem in class. I thought it might be a good idea to have a student forum about the weapons-ban. He agreed it might be a good start to dealing with some of the tension."
She looks a bit awkward when she notices who all else is in study hall, but then tilts her chin up and continues.
"I went ahead and Ghost-posted a bulletin board notice (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/76290.html) about having a meeting, because I believe it's something that the students as a group need to discuss. I'm letting you know, because I didn't want you to think that it was a plot or a rebellion or a bitch session. I intend for it to be constructive."
She takes a deep breath, then continues, speaking to her fellow students as well. "If the other students are inclined to meet on the subject, I'll ask whether anyone objects to it being an open meeting so that you or Professor Jerusalem can sit in."
[OOC to Connor: In deference to the rules, I want to indicate that my understanding with Dierdre's character is such that I've been granted permission to use Ghost as personal and message transit while Beka's taking personal time. But it looks like Beka may be back soon anyhow.]

Beka leaves quietly after doing whatever she did here and heads for Celtic studies, making a mental note that she'd best make sure to sleep on the Maru during the prep for the big score, or else she's going to be exhausted from all this time-zone destabilization.

"See? I knew you guys would be good at this." Parker sighed happily, and cracked her knuckles. "Right, so, things to do: Elizabeth talks to Cally about helping with the campaign, and anyone else who just wants to put in a few hours of grunt work, and Lisa talks to her co-workers. I talk to Professor Gandalf about the timing of debates and/or the vote, so we know what kind of schedule we're on, as well as some magic protections. Elizabeth talks to Rory's stepdad about food-- Lisa, do you want to check in with the Perkulator? And I'll try to recruit more help from the student body for the PR stuff.
I'll be here every day this week, and we'll let anyone know who cares that they can approach me about the campaign with questions. You two-- be social, tell people you're running, make it clear we're not *against* the JA so much as we are *for* the students.
Cuddy & Weird for Fandom High Student Council... we need a slogan."
