Study Hall - Monday, September 19th

Welcome to the study hall for Monday.

I spent yesterday in my tower room with a bottle of Captain Morgan and a carton of cigarettes and I haven't held a gun in twenty-four hours. Needless to say, I am not in the best of fuckin' moods, and the first student to try anything is getting detention. Hell, the first teacher to try anything with me may get detention.

*glares at students across the study hall teacher's desk, props her booted feet on the corner of the desk, and flashes a dirty look to everybody who walks past*

Your announcements for today:

-- As some of you who didn't already know may have found out this weekend, we do have werewolves on campus. The curfew is there for a reason, people. And on the nights of the full moon, you WILL be in your dorm rooms by the time the moon rises. No exceptions.

-- For anyone who may have missed it, homecoming's coming up soon. Also, fandomhitunes has arrived.

-- The door of locker 327 is stuck open and won't fucking shut. There's your warning.

-- The cafeteria will be serving any meal you ask for today on request, but please keep in mind that the cafeteria workers think someone poured a potion or something into one of the vats, and since they were pretty sure it wasn't hazardous, they went and started serving anyway. I really have to fire those fucking bastards sooner or later.

Jesus, I need a gun. *squirms*

Maybe if I just hold a water pistol, it'll take the edge off ...

"Oh...it's the Rig Veda...Hindu poetry and hymns," she says, flipping it over to show the cover.

"Yeah? You believe in that kind of stuff?"

"No, not really. I just haven't read it yet, and I heard it was good." She glances at his notebook. "You look industrious," she says, smiling.

He leans in close to whisper, "I'm totally faking it," he says, revealing a page of his notebook. It's covered with doodles - mostly random shapes, but some vaguely resemble waves and surfboards.

She grins. "Why even show up, then? Shouldn't you be off enjoying the waves rather than drawing them?"

"I really should," Logan agrees ruefully. "But the company here is good, plus I still need to do my homework for 'Manipulation, Myth and Magic.' I'm supposed to create a myth, and get people to believe it."

"Hmm. What kind of myth were you thinking? Urban, maybe? Should be easy enough," Rory says thoughtfully.

"Too easy, around here. Where's the challenge in making people believe in something when anything can happen?" He taps his pen against his notebook.

"Fair point. People here would have no problem believing just about anything." She leans her chin in her hand, and look up at him. "So do you have any ideas other than that?"

"Maybe," he says. "I might need some help, though." He grins at her.

"Well, you know I'm always available to help. Do you think you'll be needing any private tutoring with this?" she asks, a trace of a smirk sneaking into her face.

"I was thinking about an accomplice, actually," he grins. "But you can give me private tutoring anytime," he adds with a wink.

"Accomplice? Hmm...what would that entail?" Rory asks, her cheeks slightly pink.

"Still working out the details on that. But just for argument's sake - say it involves you wearing a Catholic school uniform?"

"Hmm. That could be arranged. Possibly. I would require that my partner-in-crime be dressed in a style of my choosing as well, though."

"Really?" He quirks an eyebrow and leans back in his chair, twirling his pen in his fingers. "And what style would that be?"

"Well, there are many to choose from, of course. I wouldn't want to make a decision too rashly. But the first thing that springs to mind is a white men's shirt, tighty-whiteys, socks, and sunglasses," Rory says softly, trying to keep her face straight.

"Funniest thing! Those are all items I own," Logan grins.
