Study Hall - Monday, September 19th

Welcome to the study hall for Monday.

I spent yesterday in my tower room with a bottle of Captain Morgan and a carton of cigarettes and I haven't held a gun in twenty-four hours. Needless to say, I am not in the best of fuckin' moods, and the first student to try anything is getting detention. Hell, the first teacher to try anything with me may get detention.

*glares at students across the study hall teacher's desk, props her booted feet on the corner of the desk, and flashes a dirty look to everybody who walks past*

Your announcements for today:

-- As some of you who didn't already know may have found out this weekend, we do have werewolves on campus. The curfew is there for a reason, people. And on the nights of the full moon, you WILL be in your dorm rooms by the time the moon rises. No exceptions.

-- For anyone who may have missed it, homecoming's coming up soon. Also, [livejournal.com profile] fandomhitunes has arrived.

-- The door of locker 327 is stuck open and won't fucking shut. There's your warning.

-- The cafeteria will be serving any meal you ask for today on request, but please keep in mind that the cafeteria workers think someone poured a potion or something into one of the vats, and since they were pretty sure it wasn't hazardous, they went and started serving anyway. I really have to fire those fucking bastards sooner or later.

Jesus, I need a gun. *squirms*

Maybe if I just hold a water pistol, it'll take the edge off ...

Parker squirmed. She's never actually *beaten* on Broots-- he was far too skinny and liable to curl up like a potato bug if you poked him. Okay, she'd yelled. Dope-smacked once or twice. Menaced. Anyone who worked for the Centre had to learn how to stand up for themselves, though. Not the same thing at all as having your actual *life* threatented.

"Ahem. Well. I'll check with Mr. Jerusalem. He's such a hot-shot reporter with the recording data, maybe he got it on tape. Anything less right now would sound merely as if it were being said to undermine their campaign." She scowled. "That wouldn't do you *or* the candidates any good.

"I think maybe that Potter kid is like Malfoy. Check his email too. I'll talk to him if I get the chance, as well as Janet."

She cracked her neck and widened her eyes. "Right. Lindsey McDonald. He's bound to be up for something. Anything on him?"

"Potter, okay, we'll see about him as well. I'll see if I can track him down.

Lindsey McDonald...wow. Has more than anyone else so far. He actually has a history unlike everyone else who just appeared out of nowhere. He's from Oklahoma, wants to be a lawyer, rather boring family history, wants to be a lawyer. That's pretty much it."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"Thank God for that. I was starting to wonder if everyone just appeared here spontaneously. Boring history... can't do anything with that. But then, he's not running for one of the top spots. Let it go, for now.

"Faith, no last name. Aside from being willing to jump the undead, is there anything on her that would indicate she's a threat to the Fandom High community?"

"Faith has a last name, I saw it on a rooster somewhere. Has a criminal record that I can't get into which is driving me a bit crazy. Do you know anyone at this school who knows how to use magic to hack into computers? Principal Connor has a literal fire wall sorrounding all of our records. Then again, I have a criminal record so that's not really saying much.

I'm getting someone named Harris repeatedly. Oh, I think I know who he is, I'll try to talk to him as well.

Who else?" He sighs. "We definetly need a magic user involved."

Parker made a face, frustrated. "Well. I'll start with Ripper, when I see him. Maybe he can point us to someone. And maybe that ex-girlfriend of Angelus', whoever that was? The one that reported him last week-- maybe she'll know who to talk to." She rubbed her eyes. "Keep trying on the firewall, but quit if you get stalled. No sense staying connected when it returns nothing and can get you caught.

But I *want* those emails of Angelus's, as soon as you've got them."

Grudgingly, Parker said, "Very good work, Broots. I'll be sure to tell my fath-- I mean, Cuddy and Weir, that you're on our team."

"And as for the people who we don't want to get killed by-- I'll see what I can do about that, too."

"Anything else?"

Broots stared intently on the screen watching the computer run through the data. "Hm? No, I don't think so. I'll talk to Potter and Harris this evening. Or at least try to. If you need me, e-mail. I hate having to lock AIM. It's close to impossible and it leaves logs."

With a sneer, Parker put her sunglasses back on, and turned off the white noise generator. "And don't you forget it!" she suddenly shouted in Broots' ear, smirking when he jumped, then muttered, "Later," as she stalked off.
