Study Hall - Monday, September 19th

Welcome to the study hall for Monday.

I spent yesterday in my tower room with a bottle of Captain Morgan and a carton of cigarettes and I haven't held a gun in twenty-four hours. Needless to say, I am not in the best of fuckin' moods, and the first student to try anything is getting detention. Hell, the first teacher to try anything with me may get detention.

*glares at students across the study hall teacher's desk, props her booted feet on the corner of the desk, and flashes a dirty look to everybody who walks past*

Your announcements for today:

-- As some of you who didn't already know may have found out this weekend, we do have werewolves on campus. The curfew is there for a reason, people. And on the nights of the full moon, you WILL be in your dorm rooms by the time the moon rises. No exceptions.

-- For anyone who may have missed it, homecoming's coming up soon. Also, [livejournal.com profile] fandomhitunes has arrived.

-- The door of locker 327 is stuck open and won't fucking shut. There's your warning.

-- The cafeteria will be serving any meal you ask for today on request, but please keep in mind that the cafeteria workers think someone poured a potion or something into one of the vats, and since they were pretty sure it wasn't hazardous, they went and started serving anyway. I really have to fire those fucking bastards sooner or later.

Jesus, I need a gun. *squirms*

Maybe if I just hold a water pistol, it'll take the edge off ...

"I like it, and it is actually fairly easy to do, as it is the truth. We'll see how this works and go from there. As for a debate, I am all over it like a cheap suit. They won't know what hit them. They can try to pull a smear campaign if they want me to pick them apart. I'll remain civil and in control, and turn it right back around."

Parker nods in approval. "All right, then. I'll talk to Professor Gandalf about the timing of any debates; come to think of it, I don't know exactly when the election is, either. If it's before Homecoming, we might get lost in the angsty shuffle for dates," she sneered.

"Are either of you two dating anyone? You don't have to, but it does keep things simple if you've already got boyfriends. Or girlfriends. At this school, I doubt anyone would care, and at least you'd get the horny teenage boy vote if you could stand up there with an S.O. who's pretty."

Liz blushes. "I've got a date with Charlie Kawalsky. And Janet and I keep groping each other and making out at various points"

"Reaaaaallly." Temporarily distracted, Parker wondered how serious it was, then shrugged it away. "He doesn't have to be the only person you date, but make sure it doesn't look like you're playing anyone. All parties involved have to be informed. And hey, if you make out with Janet in public, and there are pictures, we can always sell them for funds."

Liz nods, her cheeks slightly red. "We'll see how the date goes first. Talk to O'Neill... he might be good for funding, as he's already got plans to sell any porn he can picture or tape"

"While we're at it, why don't we have him draw pictures of you two kissing? I'm sure that'll bring in the kindergarten art critics vote."

*giggles* "The worrying thing is, that has the potential to actually be a voting section of this school"

[ooc: new top post, this is getting far too complicated]

"I don't. The only person I thought might ask me is a non-option. I spend all my time in classes and at the clinic... the one thing I don't have here is a great social life. I wouldn't even know where to find guys on this campus."

"You don't have to party every night of the week, Cuddy, but you're going to have to make an effort to be better known. If we have to, we can throw a party this weekend, and schmooze for votes, but just hanging out with your constituents and telling them you're running is a step in the right direction.

And again, a boyfriend isn't a requirement. Just make sure no one thinks you're a man-hater, because the last thing we need is to make this about feminism. That way lies political death, I don't trust our classmates to not be fooled by anything that gets said about 'girls'. You're both female candidates, but you're smart, mature, and you care. That's all that should matter."

[identity profile] notcalledlizzie.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Liz smiles wryly. "I'm sure they'll be a party at some point this week in my room. I'd hope those guys will be behind us at least"

[identity profile] lisacuddy.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, I know, I have to work on that. The man-hater thing is a potential problem, especially with the two of us aligned. I just got snippy with the new Wrestling coach this morning for being a macho fuckface.

I'll definitely try to get out more often, and if you have a party this weekend I'll make a point to be there."
