Study Hall - Monday, September 19th

Welcome to the study hall for Monday.

I spent yesterday in my tower room with a bottle of Captain Morgan and a carton of cigarettes and I haven't held a gun in twenty-four hours. Needless to say, I am not in the best of fuckin' moods, and the first student to try anything is getting detention. Hell, the first teacher to try anything with me may get detention.

*glares at students across the study hall teacher's desk, props her booted feet on the corner of the desk, and flashes a dirty look to everybody who walks past*

Your announcements for today:

-- As some of you who didn't already know may have found out this weekend, we do have werewolves on campus. The curfew is there for a reason, people. And on the nights of the full moon, you WILL be in your dorm rooms by the time the moon rises. No exceptions.

-- For anyone who may have missed it, homecoming's coming up soon. Also, [livejournal.com profile] fandomhitunes has arrived.

-- The door of locker 327 is stuck open and won't fucking shut. There's your warning.

-- The cafeteria will be serving any meal you ask for today on request, but please keep in mind that the cafeteria workers think someone poured a potion or something into one of the vats, and since they were pretty sure it wasn't hazardous, they went and started serving anyway. I really have to fire those fucking bastards sooner or later.

Jesus, I need a gun. *squirms*

Maybe if I just hold a water pistol, it'll take the edge off ...

*She grins and raises her coffee mug as well*

Much thanks. The coffee tastes much better, I must say.

I think it has to do with flavored cream. Anything tastes better with more flavored-sugar ('cause there's absolutely no dairy products in that stuff)

[identity profile] lizzy-turner.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
It could very well be the flavored cream. The French Vanilla creme is addictive!

Oh yeah. Wait until December when the peppermint/chocolate stuff comes out. That stuff is teh crack.

Welcome to the 21st century. Where we are ruled by our coffee condiments.

[OOC: *chokes on Kit Kat* I just might have to put that up on my quote board]

Oh, I cannot wait! Until then, I guess I shall have to spontaneously combust eagerly await the Homecoming dance.

[ooc: go for it. ;) And sorry about the choking :)]

Ah Homecoming... where the girls dance in packs like wild wolves and the boys stand around in clumps by the walls as if they were hung on pegs.

Well, I've never been to one before. Only "coming out" parties where parents parade their daughter around so she can meet her match and hopefully get married.

*Sporfles flavored coffee*

Word to the wise. Call them 'debutante balls' or something. Around here, around *now*, 'coming out' has entirely different connotations. Now, I don't judge, not at all, but unless you want people misunderstanding.... best to avoid that turn of phrase.

Many parents whose children 'come out' aren't even spoken to again and where I come from, at least, they aren't allowed to get married.

Just an observation.

[identity profile] lizzy-turner.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, okay *She looks puzzled* I shall make a note to do that.

I am still trying to get used to this time and place. It is all very confusing. And quite lonely

[identity profile] wraithbaitjohn.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if you announce that you're 'coming out' you might not get the kind of company you're really after, if you know what I mean. But like I said, I don't judge.

But I'd be happy to introduce you around to some people. Did I introduce myself yet? I'm John, but call me Shep. There's like 30,000 'John's' in here, so it gets a tad confusing.

[identity profile] lizzy-turner.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
I see. Well, as long as you're the only person who has heard me say that, I should probably be okay. I hope.

I'm Elizabeth Swann. Not Elizabeth Turner. One bloody rumor and suddenly you're married to your childhood friend.

[identity profile] wraithbaitjohn.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
So the 'student ID' that says 'Turner'???

Maybe I shouldn't ask. I mean, who am I to talk. I once had a friend get a female marine stuck in his head. You want to talk about identity crisis? [g]

[identity profile] lizzy-turner.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
*Nods and sighs* I might have also gave the school his last name so people wouldn't automatically think that I'm the governor's daughter and kidnap me for ransom

How does one get another person stuck in one's head? *She smirks* It sounds...interesting.

[identity profile] wraithbaitjohn.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
It involves life sucking aliens, engineers who jump the gun and fried mice.

Do you really want me to explain any further?

[identity profile] lizzy-turner.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
No, I doubt I will understand it any further, anyway. *She smiles, leaning over slightly* So, what have you been up to?

[identity profile] wraithbaitjohn.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Oh you know... classes. Yearbook. Trying to avoid the high drama that is my current clique of friends. (there really are upsides to spending all of Saturday unconscious.)

You?

[identity profile] lizzy-turner.livejournal.com 2005-09-20 02:02 am (UTC)(link)
Actually, quite the same. I am in Yearbook, as well. And I don't really have a "clique", sadly. I never was good at making friends outside of my father's friends' children.
