Study Hall - Monday, September 19th

Welcome to the study hall for Monday.

I spent yesterday in my tower room with a bottle of Captain Morgan and a carton of cigarettes and I haven't held a gun in twenty-four hours. Needless to say, I am not in the best of fuckin' moods, and the first student to try anything is getting detention. Hell, the first teacher to try anything with me may get detention.

*glares at students across the study hall teacher's desk, props her booted feet on the corner of the desk, and flashes a dirty look to everybody who walks past*

Your announcements for today:

-- As some of you who didn't already know may have found out this weekend, we do have werewolves on campus. The curfew is there for a reason, people. And on the nights of the full moon, you WILL be in your dorm rooms by the time the moon rises. No exceptions.

-- For anyone who may have missed it, homecoming's coming up soon. Also, fandomhitunes has arrived.

-- The door of locker 327 is stuck open and won't fucking shut. There's your warning.

-- The cafeteria will be serving any meal you ask for today on request, but please keep in mind that the cafeteria workers think someone poured a potion or something into one of the vats, and since they were pretty sure it wasn't hazardous, they went and started serving anyway. I really have to fire those fucking bastards sooner or later.

Jesus, I need a gun. *squirms*

Maybe if I just hold a water pistol, it'll take the edge off ...

Rory bites her lip to keep from smiling, and periodically glances over. She can't stop blushing, though she's trying to focus on what Angela's saying. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhigh/103908.html?thread=3478500#t3478500)

Logan grins at her blush. He brushes a hand against his cheek and quirks a finger at her face.

Rory laughs, and abruptly covers her mouth with her hand to muffle the sound. She goes back to talking to Angela, who is now beginning to notice what's going on.

Logan notices both girls looking at him and gives a small finger-wave to Angela.

Rory writes something on a piece of paper, folds it into a piece of paper, and sends it sailing Logan's way. It reads:

Those two seats by you taken?

Logan reads the note, and gestures for them to come over.

Following Rory, Angela slides into the seat further from Logan. "Hi," she says, a little self-conscious.

"Hi, I'm Logan," he says, offering his hand.

"I'm Angela," she says as they shake hands. "I was at your party the first week of school."

"What a coincidence! So was I," he grins. "So, did you have fun?"

Arrgh. Typos.

"That IS a coincidence," Angela says, working on her deadpan. "I met some cool people, but I wasn't drinking, so... I mean, it was a great party even for me."

[OOC: Angela would never say this, but let it be known that the mun does know the appropriate response is "Not as much as I hear you and Rory had."]

"'Even for you'? I take it you're not much of a party girl?"

"Um... I mean, I'm not, like, anti-party, never-go-out girl. I just get, y'know, a little overwhelmed when I'm in a big crowd of people I don't know," Angela says, clearly embarassed. "Do you host a lot of parties like that?"

"Yeah, all the time," he says. "I'll have to keep an eye out for you next time. Make sure you're having fun." He smiles.

Rory settles into the chair on Logan's right side, sitting her books down on the table and thumbing the paperback copy of the Rig Veda she had brought with her.

"Hello," she says quietly, but cheerily.

"Hey," he says. "What are you reading?"

"Oh...it's the Rig Veda...Hindu poetry and hymns," she says, flipping it over to show the cover.

"Yeah? You believe in that kind of stuff?"

"No, not really. I just haven't read it yet, and I heard it was good." She glances at his notebook. "You look industrious," she says, smiling.

He leans in close to whisper, "I'm totally faking it," he says, revealing a page of his notebook. It's covered with doodles - mostly random shapes, but some vaguely resemble waves and surfboards.

She grins. "Why even show up, then? Shouldn't you be off enjoying the waves rather than drawing them?"

"I really should," Logan agrees ruefully. "But the company here is good, plus I still need to do my homework for 'Manipulation, Myth and Magic.' I'm supposed to create a myth, and get people to believe it."
