Detention, Saturday

"Hey," Mitchell called, once the handwavey detention announcement had gone out and everyone had had time to gather up by the Danger Shop. "I'm Mitchell. Some of you might've met me." He grinned. "You're here because for whatever reason, the school has chosen to recognise your trespasses. That doesn't mean it has to be horrible, just unpleasant."

Another slight grin, with only a hint of apology.

"So today, we're going to be preparing for a tea party," he continued, "Although I'd like it if you'd all go light on the tea. I'm more of a coffee person."

He shouldn't be allowed free range of children.

"Just enter through there and get your finest," he said, waving at the doorway, "And I'll see you on the other end."

There was a faintly Victorian and decidedly goth-y air to the outfit Kate picked out. If she was going to have to endure undeserved detention, she might as well look good doing it.

It didn't take Jack long to find a few things that precisely represented his taste in clothes, so he put on a nice morning suit (leaving off the cravat), slicked his curls back and down, and looked in the mirror with a distinctly self-satisfied air.

If he had to endure an unearned detention, he should look good for it.

Effy eyed the choices with a little distaste, really not seeing what was wrong with what she was wearing anyway. She'd drunk tea wearing this, plenty of times before.

"And if we like what we're wearing now?" she muttered, half to herself as she flicked through some of the options.

Liir looked at the clothes provided and got dressed without trouble. It was better than that terrible nonsense he'd been made to wear for the survival class, after all. Some of it was even halfway stylish.

Dinah stared at the dresses provided-- they looked like something Miss Doolittle would wear-- and blinked a good bit. "Okaaaay."

And then she had to grab one of the hats.

Not that Francine knew what the heck you wore to a tea party when you weren't five and dressing your stuffed animals up for it, but hey, nice clothes, and considering why she suspected she had detention, this could be so much worse, so why not dress up?

Effy had been to enough bars, and enough clubs to know how to shoot a little smirk as she tried to slink by. Somehow, this being what it was, she didn't think it would be that easy.

The Kitchen

Congratulations! All of you have reached the kitchen. Gather around, talk amongst yourselves, figure out what kind of food you should possibly be making and if there's any point to reaching the kitchen at all.

Jono crossed his arms over his chest, propped himself up against a counter, and proceeded to give dark, angry, very antisocial looks at everything in the room that had the gall to be noticed by him.

The Living Room

A buzzer has gone off, signaling you into the living room, which has been set up for tea. Each seat comes with a flashcard. On it is the topic you should be conversing about. Eat. Drink. Talk!
