Detention, Saturday
"Hey," Mitchell called, once the handwavey detention announcement had gone out and everyone had had time to gather up by the Danger Shop. "I'm Mitchell. Some of you might've met me." He grinned. "You're here because for whatever reason, the school has chosen to recognise your trespasses. That doesn't mean it has to be horrible, just unpleasant."
Another slight grin, with only a hint of apology.
"So today, we're going to be preparing for a tea party," he continued, "Although I'd like it if you'd all go light on the tea. I'm more of a coffee person."
He shouldn't be allowed free range of children.
"Just enter through there and get your finest," he said, waving at the doorway, "And I'll see you on the other end."

Re: Talk to the Doorman. Guy.
What he got from that was, "Yes, I suppose he would. Yeah. He trusts me."
And there came the grinning like an idiot.
Re: Talk to the Doorman. Guy.
"Now, I'm unarmed, and I haven't argued with you. Just a bit of reasoning. I like to think I can be friendly. Do you think I could get in? Would you say I meet your standards, sir?"
Re: Talk to the Doorman. Guy.
And that was the moment Seth kind of realised, in the pit of his stomach, that he'd been out-maneuvered. It was a familiar feeling. "Okay, but don't ruin any of the hoovering I've done! I just got the carpet cleaned!"
Re: Talk to the Doorman. Guy.
"I won't. I used to do all the cleaning where I came from. Oh, she could stay up all hours of the night doing her experiments, her great work, but she couldn't clean the crumbs from the counter after she'd cut the bread. I certainly understand."
