Janine sets up the ticket booth outside the doors of the theater while Marshall runs the final tech check on the lights and sound equipment. This is going to be the best Holiday Pageant ever!

His arms filled with food, Cameron finds a seat in the front. He's curious about why Bristow pulled Vala away, but he's also very hungry.

Principal Bristow enters the stage. "Thank you for coming to Fandom High's very first Holiday Pageant. And now a little pre-show entertainment from one of your fellow students..."

Vala stumbles out from behind the curtain almost as though she'd been pushed and then puts on her brightest and most fake, I'm gonna kill someone later for this smile.

"Uh, hi!" She waves. "Dean Bristow completely shanghaied me! zomg! help! asked me to do a little pre-show entertainment for you. So I'm going to tell you what I've learned about Crissmass in my time here at Fandom High.

First of all, there was a baby-god, who was born in a barn, because his parents were poor and didn't have any money to pay their taxes. But shepherds and smart men and all showed up to give him presents, and that's why we give people presents on Crissmass." She pauses, looking confused for a moment. "And there's a bit about a camel, although what the camel's doing in the barn I'm not sure. Also later the baby-god is killed with a tree, but we don't talk about that now."

She's warming up to her tale now. "Then there's Santa, who isn't gay after all and is even married!" She turns to glare backstage. "Meaning some people have been making him cheat on his wife with a certain household appliance, which isn't really in the spirit of the season or anything!" Looking back to the audience, she composes herself. "Now this Santa takes all the presents that parents buy for their little kids and he dances around and puts them in socks and under Crissmass trees and takes all the credit. Because it's more festive that way.

"But just for little kids. Then a guy named Walace tells you it's all a hoax and you laugh and then your parents just give you stuff...." She looks concerned for a second, then resolved. "And all of you are old enough to know that by now. So there.

"The Crissmass tree itself is all bright and pretty and sparkly, and it dances too, so I guess you should be careful what you put on it.

And, uh, that's what I learned here at Fandom High about this amazing season. Thank you!"

She bows, smiles, and then scurries walks off the stage as fast as she can.

Cameron is laughing hard at the costumes, when the wheel comes off of John's. He narrowly ducks and pulls Vala out of the way too. Some of his popcorn however has spilled to the floor and he looks very put out by it.

The scene: a stable in Bethlehem. A few fake plastic sheep stand about. Joseph (Bridge) and Mary (Veruca) are huddled over the manger which contains the baby Jesus, who is swaddled in cloth and, as of yet, not visible.

Suddenly, there is the sound of sleigh bells... jing-jing-jingling tunes...

And fake snow falls from the sky...

And a beautiful red sleigh, led by Earl the Giraffe with reindeer antlers on, comes creaking onto the stage, driven by Principal Bristow dressed up in curious red garb. Next to him is a very sullen elf that looks quite a bit like Jaye Tyler.

"HO HO HO! MEEEEEERRY CHRISTMAS!" Bristow Claus yells out to the audience.

(Audience) Leaving!
