The Big Show! Pageant Time!

Janine sets up the ticket booth outside the doors of the theater while Marshall runs the final tech check on the lights and sound equipment. This is going to be the best Holiday Pageant ever!

Belthazor slipped out before the pageant ended to check on Phoebe.

Veronica turned to ask Angela a question and noticed Belthazor leaving before the pageant was over. She frowned, wondering if he was up to something.

[CJ storms out of the auditorium, her coat over her arm. She accidently bumps into Belthazor on her way out.] EX-cuse me.

Bel raised an eyebrow as CJ ran into him. So much for a stealthy exit. "Something wrong, prof?" he asked.

[She's fuming] THAT is the most...awful...blasphemous...ridiculous...[She nearly growls with rage] Those kids have no clue what they are doing. That's my faith and they've made it a joke.

"That sucks," Bel said, sympathetic. "You'd think with all the hand wringing about topics in ethics class they'd be a little more sensitive in other areas, too."

Well, I'm only one person. Everyone else thinks it's hilarious. [She jerks her coat on.] I'm going home.

"Double standards, I guess," Bel said. "Sorry it upset you so much. Don't blame you for leaving."

[At which point, he is nearly run over by a rather harried looking Time Lord.]

Ten...[she's gotten coat on]...Belthazor, I'll see you later. I'm sorry I ran into you.

[Ten nods at Bel, still looking frazzled, and takes his own coat.]

"No problem," he said, grinning at CJ. "Catch you later."

Ten, I'm sorry to have just left you. But I couldn't watch that anymore.

[Ten blinks a few times.] Aye...it was...a rather loose interpretation of actual events.

Loose? LOOSE?!? Ten...that's right up there with "ace" for the wrong thing to say.

[He puts his coat on.] Was being diplomati--[he looks at her face and changes directions] which is not what you need or want to hear right now, right. Um... [He gets the 'Boyfriend Who Has Just Said Something Stupid And Knows It' Look.]

[She turns and points at the door, her voice eerily calm] That. Wasn't. Funny.

No, it wasn't funny. [He's being honest.] You...took offense.

After the pageant, Lorelai stands in the back of the auditorium. She is looking for her daughter (to laugh at), her students (to give extra credit to) and the pirate dude with the video camera (to obtain a copy of this joyous event).

Piper and Veronica stop by to see Lorelai on their way out so they can get extra credit.

"Best. Christmas. Pageant. Ever." Parker hugged herself, then turned to Barbossa. "Did we get the whole thing? Tell me you got the whole thing."

Barbossa grinned and patted the video camera.

"I be gettin' the whole thing. Gremlin bites, angels falling from the ceiling, zombie dance 'n all." He hummed a little tune. "I be feelin' jes' full o' the holiday spirit right now. How 'bout yerself?"

"God bless us, every one. Happy Hannukah and Kwanzaa and Solstice and Christmas, Barbossa." She grinned.

Miracles did happen. She had material to mock Crichton *and* Wings with for weeks.

After seeing the end of the show, Tick walked out quietly. The show had been a nice distraction.

And now it was over. Darn.
