[CJ storms out of the auditorium, her coat over her arm. She accidently bumps into Belthazor on her way out.] EX-cuse me.

Bel raised an eyebrow as CJ ran into him. So much for a stealthy exit. "Something wrong, prof?" he asked.

[She's fuming] THAT is the most...awful...blasphemous...ridiculous...[She nearly growls with rage] Those kids have no clue what they are doing. That's my faith and they've made it a joke.

"That sucks," Bel said, sympathetic. "You'd think with all the hand wringing about topics in ethics class they'd be a little more sensitive in other areas, too."

Well, I'm only one person. Everyone else thinks it's hilarious. [She jerks her coat on.] I'm going home.
demonbelthazor: (Am so innocent -- really)

"Double standards, I guess," Bel said. "Sorry it upset you so much. Don't blame you for leaving."

[At which point, he is nearly run over by a rather harried looking Time Lord.]

Ten...[she's gotten coat on]...Belthazor, I'll see you later. I'm sorry I ran into you.

[Ten nods at Bel, still looking frazzled, and takes his own coat.]

"No problem," he said, grinning at CJ. "Catch you later."

Ten, I'm sorry to have just left you. But I couldn't watch that anymore.

[Ten blinks a few times.] Aye...it was...a rather loose interpretation of actual events.

Loose? LOOSE?!? Ten...that's right up there with "ace" for the wrong thing to say.

[He puts his coat on.] Was being diplomati--[he looks at her face and changes directions] which is not what you need or want to hear right now, right. Um... [He gets the 'Boyfriend Who Has Just Said Something Stupid And Knows It' Look.]

[She turns and points at the door, her voice eerily calm] That. Wasn't. Funny.

Re: (Audience) Leaving!

[identity profile] ten-and-chips.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
No, it wasn't funny. [He's being honest.] You...took offense.

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Ten...[she sighs]...if I had known this what what you invited me to, I'd have said no. That would have been better than upsetting everyone.

[identity profile] ten-and-chips.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
[He sighs a long and slow sigh, closing his eyes.] I didn't know this was going to happen. And I'm sorry it did.

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
It's not your fault. It's me. [She shrugs] Miscommunication...watchword of the week. I'll be fine. Really. You should go back and watch the end. And don't tell me.

[identity profile] ten-and-chips.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
I sense a violation of the First Amendment is in the air--fire in a crowded theatre, that sort of thing. If it's alright with you, I think I'll pass.

[identity profile] prof-cregg.livejournal.com 2005-12-09 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Ten...you have nothing to be upset over. You were laughing too. Ace, remember? I'm just going to go home. Start a fire. Burn out my eyeballs at the image of a green toothy baby Jesus.

[He stuffs his hands in his coat pockets.] See, that would be the thing...a gentleman doesn't leave his date in the lurch. And I owe you a story about... [The strains of Rory Gilmore's attempt at O Tannenbaum have made it through to the lobby, and he winces.] some much better music than this. On a rooftop in London.

[Sliding her arm in around his, she walks with him to the door and out into the night (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ten_and_chips/17837.html?mode=reply).] I'd like that...tell me.
