The Big Show! Pageant Time!

Janine sets up the ticket booth outside the doors of the theater while Marshall runs the final tech check on the lights and sound equipment. This is going to be the best Holiday Pageant ever!

Anders rolls over onto his back and blinks as he catches the present. "Thanks, erm, Principal Panda-Bristow-Claws?"

He shakes it a little bit and wonders what it is.

Then he realizes the wrapping is green, and glares in Bridge's direction. Tearing the wrapping paper off suddenly seems like a much better idea than carefully picking the tape off.

Before Anders has the chance to open said present, he suddenly finds himself being dragged off stage by the cape.

Cally has an interesting look in her eyes as she pulls on his cape. Interesting. Definitely interesting.

"Coach?" mumbles Anders, though it doesn't quite sound right coming out since he's choking a bit. "Whassgoinon?"

He belatedly notices the look in her eyes. "Uh . . . coach?"

Cally smiles down at Anders, toothily.

Which is rather frightening, given her mouth is full of gremlin blood. She continues dragging him towards the stage exit.

"Coach?" Anders is kind of nervous now, given that Cally's not saying anything and her mouth looks kind of funny.

"Erm. Cally? I think I can walk, y'know. Maybe."

It vaguely occurs to him to wonder how the hell she's managing to drag him across the floor so well.

Cally stops dragging Anders and tilts her head slightly.

"Shhhhhh." She taps her finger against her lips.

Anders manages to sit up a little bit. "What? Where? Huh?"

"Oooookay. Gremlin bite. Right."

Wincing painfully, Anders struggles to his feet but is stopped rather forcibly by Cally's continued grip on his cape, and the resultant choking. "Yes, coach," he says indulgently, "the Cylons look like people. But there's no Cylons here."

"They're gonna come after you. Cylons are going to try to take my boyfriend away from me. I need to stop them. I'll shoot them if I have to." She rubs her finger reflexively as she talks.

"Coach . . ." Anders makes a face and notices her rubbing her finger. "Can you let go of my cape maybe?"

Cally lets go of Anders' cape. "We gotta get to higher altitude. We'll be safe at high altitude. They won't be able to get us there."

Anders finally manages to get up and wrap his arms around Cally, frowning at her bitten finger.

"Get to higher altitude. And what? Wait to die?"

He takes hold of Cally's wrist and examines her finger. "I think we're in need of professional help here."

Cally frowns a little. "We must find Earth! There we will be safe from the cylons!"

"Cally." Anders kisses her forehead. "We are on Earth. Right now. Honest. Thirteenth Colony, honest to gods and everything. And there's no Cylons here. Not even one. Promise."

Cally holds Anders tight and whispers in Anders' ear. "I hope you're right, champ. But I swear... that Adama's a cylon."

"What, Lee?" Anders is a little bit freaked out by now, but he laughs it off. "Knew there had to be a reason that frakker got on my nerves."

He tries to maneuver Cally toward the door. "C'mon, let's get you home. Sleep it off, everything'll be okay in the morning. No Cylons in the room, promise."

Cally clings to Anders but lets herself go along with him.

"Right. No Cylons in the room. Good. We'll be safe there. Safe as houses."
