Festivus in July, Fandom High front lawn, Friday afternoon

Sometime during morning workshops, when no one was paying nearly enough attention except those concerned, the Fandom High schoolgrounds had filled with snow.

For the record, "those concerned" meant Rory Gilmore and several dozen snow cone distributors from the mainland. But who wants to ruin the illusion? Students who were curious might assume that it was simply a Festivus in July miracle, or some such.

In the middle of the lawn stood a bare, aluminum pole. Festivus tradition, you know.

[Yes, the schoolgrounds have snow. I'm weathermodding and saying it's cool enough today through this evening for it to stick, and it'll melt overnight. And yes, we're having Festivus in July. For those not in the know, here is a handy Wiki link! Please wait for OCD. Up, yay!]

John's expanding. Hut of Platonic Love for Ten complete with columns of snow, cereal boxes, a few of Aeryn's boots (don't tell her), a fluffy blanket for the roof, and books...not from the library.

Molly wandered over to check out John's construction. "Nice fort," she said with a grin. "You came prepared."

Molly giggled and went inside. "Do you have separate cereals for sitting and eating or is it just chance where they end up?"

Sam brushes some of the snow out of his hair and takes a deep breath as he spots John. Surely he can talk to him without embarrassing himself. Maybe. "You look like you've made something like this before," he says, smiling.

"Just a few days ago in the library!" John says and smiles at Sam. "Hut of Platonic Love. For all your fort and platonic love and cereal needs!"

"It's a pretend-house, John-boy. What, you didn't get enough of this when you were five?" She cocked her head and peered in, then looked back at him, eyebrows rising. "Why cereal?"
