Festivus in July, Fandom High front lawn, Friday afternoon

Sometime during morning workshops, when no one was paying nearly enough attention except those concerned, the Fandom High schoolgrounds had filled with snow.

For the record, "those concerned" meant Rory Gilmore and several dozen snow cone distributors from the mainland. But who wants to ruin the illusion? Students who were curious might assume that it was simply a Festivus in July miracle, or some such.

In the middle of the lawn stood a bare, aluminum pole. Festivus tradition, you know.

[Yes, the schoolgrounds have snow. I'm weathermodding and saying it's cool enough today through this evening for it to stick, and it'll melt overnight. And yes, we're having Festivus in July. For those not in the know, here is a handy Wiki link! Please wait for OCD. Up, yay!]

"It's sturdy like a rock," John tells her and waves her inside.

Angela gave him a look that said, If it falls down on me, I'll scream and crawled in. "Wow," she said. "It really is a nice hut. Why'd you make it?"

"No reason really," John shrugs. "Just something to do. Is the one in the library still standing?"

"I didn't notice it when I was in there yesterday," Angela said. "Where'd you put it"

"In the back," he tells her. "You can't see it from the front desk. Rory found me."

"I was mostly in the shelves," Angela nodded. "I'll have to go and admire next time I work."

She lay back, snow cold against her back. "This thing needs a rug."

"We're getting a couch," John tells her. "One that gives out candy!"

"A Bridge special?" Angla guessed. "Yay, Bridgey."

"Yep!" John smiles. "We're hoping to get a couch that spits out full sized candy bars when you sit on it."

"The ideal would be if somehow the candy bars went right into your hand," Angela said. "You know, so you couldn't smush them."

"I bet Bridge could work that," John says, mentally taking notes.

"Maybe he could even program it so he knew, like, people's weights and how they sat, so it could hand out specific candy bars to specific people," Angela suggested. "Like, if you were allergic to peanuts? You would never get a Snickers."

"That...would be awesome," John says in wonder. "Wow. I'd ask him to make me like ten of those."
