Festivus in July, Fandom High front lawn, Friday afternoon

Sometime during morning workshops, when no one was paying nearly enough attention except those concerned, the Fandom High schoolgrounds had filled with snow.

For the record, "those concerned" meant Rory Gilmore and several dozen snow cone distributors from the mainland. But who wants to ruin the illusion? Students who were curious might assume that it was simply a Festivus in July miracle, or some such.

In the middle of the lawn stood a bare, aluminum pole. Festivus tradition, you know.

[Yes, the schoolgrounds have snow. I'm weathermodding and saying it's cool enough today through this evening for it to stick, and it'll melt overnight. And yes, we're having Festivus in July. For those not in the know, here is a handy Wiki link! Please wait for OCD. Up, yay!]

Parker starts humming before she can stop herself. "Hey. Don't do that. Song lyric quoting is for politicians and bards." She made a face at John. "Or crazy people, so never mind." She'd really like to look inside the hut, but wouldn't admit it for worlds.

"I am just creative," John sing songs at her. "Creative and an outside the box thinker."

"*Outside* the box? Crichton, you're using the box as your Platonic Hut of Love. This goes beyond eccentric into veering off the road into oncoming traffic." She grinned, and tapped the roof of the Hut. "Better this than starting a gang, I guess."

"You're just jealous that you did not think of the Hut of Platonic love first," John says.

"Yes, John-boy, that's it. I want a Hut of my own. I intend to go back to my room and order one from F.A.O. Schwartz, and have a tea party in it," Parker said, completely deadpan. "Carry on. You will anyway."

"That's right," John says and smirks at her. "The Hut of Love is not insulted by your insults!"
