Shop Class: [2/27] - Danger Shop Craziness

As the students enter the shop room, Mac greets them with a smile.

After everyone arrives and signs-in, Mac makes some adjustments to the remote control and the room turns into a metal scrapyard.

"Hey everyone. Welcome to Shop Class. Today we'll be doing another one of our Junkyard creativity excercises..."

*SLAM* *CLUNK*

Mac looks over at the doors to the shop class which have closed and locked on their own. "Hal? Could you open please?"

"I'm sorry Mac," said a monotone voice. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Apparently someone is very upset at you."

Five robots shimmer into existence around the group of students.

"Okay. This is not good," Mac muttered to himself. "Kids! Run for it! Get into the supply room! There's no holoprojectors there!"

The robots were confused by the smoke. Three immediately turned around and fired at each other. One fell, adding more smoke to the chaos.

The rest advanced towards the supply room.

John takes off his other shoe and chucks into the smoke, heading out after it.

One of the robots blasted the shoe with its lasers. The other advanced towards John. "EXTERMINATE!'

Xander, crouched low to the ground, tries to picture the big eye on top of the nearest robot -- which looks kind of familiar, like something he saw on Mr. What when he was a kid -- as a tv antenna.

He thinks, 'BITTERWOMAN' at it, really loudly.

Grabs a shotty and some extra rounds.

She disappears into the smoke.

"My poor shoe," John says but keeps going, bouncing off robots and debris and things. "I hate school."

"Your shoe has gone to a better place." says Pippi.

*chack chack*

"To Valhalla. Where the brave live forever."

She tumbles forward in the smoke past a (hopefully) confused robot and takes a moment to but her fist through the back of what possibly serves as its head.

Pip grabs an M-16 off the rack and loads the catridge. He swings the weapon around at the pepper shaker shaped robots. "Walter, if there was ever a time for you to be ungodly fast, it'd be now!"

The robots, confused by a sudden glitch in their programming that looks like a woman in a very skimpy costume, stopped stock still to process and work out the bugs.

Kawalsky grabbed one of the other M-16s and headed out. It wasn't his favorite weapon, but he knew how to use it well. He provided suppressive fire from the right flank of the main group. Kawalsky wanted to conserve ammo as much as possible, and he didn't want to hit anyone that might be running around, so he fired in short bursts at various robots.

His aim was good. Whether the bullets could penetrate the metallic armor was another thing altogether.

One shiny robot in particular turned its focus on Kawalksy.

EXTERMINATE!

It let off two laser blasts at the kid with a gun.

Kawalsky managed to dodge one laser shot, but the other one singed his jacket far too closely for comfort.

He turned and fired a few shots at the Dalek.

The shots in question hit the robot. One hit and bounced of it's armored skin, but the other one hit what appeared to be its eye.

The robot bot screamed EXTERMINATE even louder and shot out several blasts wildly.

Kawalsky ran. One of the final shots before he dived for cover skimmed across his shoulder.

He swore. Loudly. It wasn't really work safe language.

The robot rammed full speed into a pile of junk and got caught stuck in it.

Kawalsky was still cursing like a soldier (funny about that) when he got up. It hurt like hell, but he approached the trapped robot and grabbed the pipe he'd dropped there earlier.

He then proceeded to bludgeon the thing, hopefully to death.

Nadia, who had been hanging back and listening so far because, dammit, tomorrow is her mun's dad's birthday and she had to go celebrate with family, clutched her mallet of doom and the pistol she *handwaved* grabbed and looked for an opening.

A robot materializes behind Nadia and turns to attack her

Nadia is trying to keep an eye on pretty much everything at once, and almost doesn't notice the robot behind her. Fortunately, she glances back.

"Govno!" She brings her gun to bear. Remembering what her downfall was in the simulation last week, she fires a touch more conservatively, taking a little bit longer to line up her shots.

She has a feeling two shots and it goes down might not apply here.

The shots hit and the robot flails back slightly before bringing up it's laser and returning fire.

Nadia instinctively raised her mallet to try and deflect the laser blast, which was probably a mistake. The laser struck the side of her hand and she dropped the mallet, crying out softly. Holding her injured hand close to her, she fired again, this time aiming for the robot's eyes everything has eyes. . . .

The robot's head exploded and fell to the ground.

Lilly can't even name the type of firearm she's carrying, but it looks simple enough.

Hopefully she won't blow her shoulder off.

A robot appears behind one of the junk piles. "EXTERMINATE" and fires a laser blast at the pretty girl.

Lilly totally takes one in the chest and dies.

Bummer. But she'll sleep it off.
