Shop Class: [2/27] - Danger Shop Craziness

As the students enter the shop room, Mac greets them with a smile.

After everyone arrives and signs-in, Mac makes some adjustments to the remote control and the room turns into a metal scrapyard.

"Hey everyone. Welcome to Shop Class. Today we'll be doing another one of our Junkyard creativity excercises..."

*SLAM* *CLUNK*

Mac looks over at the doors to the shop class which have closed and locked on their own. "Hal? Could you open please?"

"I'm sorry Mac," said a monotone voice. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Apparently someone is very upset at you."

Five robots shimmer into existence around the group of students.

"Okay. This is not good," Mac muttered to himself. "Kids! Run for it! Get into the supply room! There's no holoprojectors there!"

The robots fell back from around Pippi, then began firing.

Seeing them fall back, Pippi realized she was surrounded and hunkered down underneath what is left of her "shield". Acting as her shield has cost the robot an arm and a leg, literally.

The injury to her hip made her stumble and she received a hit to her left leg. She tried to scurry up one of the robots before the rest of the one she was holding above her was shot away.

Time for a new shield.

The other robots continued to fire on Pippi . . . and as a result ended up striking the robot she was climbing, which started to smoke.

Pippi yells for Xander and John about Nadia (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/676188.html?thread=32326236#t32326236) as she dumps the shield she was using and rips a curved side piece from the smoking one.

Damnit, where did she drop that shotty?

A somewhat more advanced robot appears to replace the now defunct smoking robot. It advances on Pippi, preparing to strike with its metal fists.

Pippi peeks out from her hiding place and chucks her boots to Xander and John (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/676188.html?thread=32330844#t32330844). Then sees the metallic fistycuffs heading her way.

"Oh you think so do you?" she says as she picks up the smoldering robo-corpse she was previously hiding in and chucks it at the advancing robot.

Pippi Longstocking does not need boots to kick your shiny metal ass.

The robot effortlessly bats its fallen and very broken companion out of the way and continues advancing.

Pippi and the Robot

As opposed to "Whitney and the Robot" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0309229/) which would be dating myself.

Pippi points at the advancing robot.

"You just stop right there young man!"

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] fh-dangershop.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Unbelievably, the robot does stop. But only for a second. Then it swings a fist at Pippi's head.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Pippi catches the fist in both her hands and manages to stop it from hitting her face, the thing is quite strong. Stronger then a small pony!

"Okay the idea there..." She grunted as she tried to twist the thing's arm around and off, "... Is that you would continue stopping."

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] fh-dangershop.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
The robot did not seem inclined to listen this time, and brought its other arm up, again aiming for Pippi's head.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

Pippi yells back to Xander (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/676188.html?thread=32325468#t32345436), and lets go with her right hand to catch the robot's left.

She isn't able to stop the fist but does push it a bit wide, grazing her cheek as it goes by.

Her arms are now crossed and she's holding the robot's arms, which are also crossed. Her hands otherwise occupied, she does what any young girl would to in her situation.

She stomps, with all her might, on the thing's foot, where it meets the ankle.

That is, assuming it has a foot... If not, she just kicks it.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] fh-dangershop.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 06:16 pm (UTC)(link)
It has a foot. Pippi's might is a mighty thing, and the metal of the robot's ankle buckles, causing the robot to sag momentarily.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
As it sags Pippi yanks down on it's arms.

Hopefully? They come off. If not? Headbut.

"Give us a kiss." she says.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] fh-dangershop.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Headbut it is. The robot doesn't seem happy about "kissing" Pippi.

The others begin firing.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Pippi tightened her grip on the robot's arms and swung it around to absorb most of the shots, but not before taking another shot to her shoulder. This was really starting to hurt.

She kicked out at one of thing's knees and fell back pulling as hard as she could to bring it down on top of her for cover.

It worked like a dream, but the robot was still twitching, so it might have been a nightmare.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oh if only Papa was here. I can't begin to describe what he'd do to you if he saw us like this."

Headbut again. She's trying to crush its face in and damage its eyes.

*CLANG* Went her forehead against the bridge of its "nose"...

She blinked away the spots in her vision and her head was throbbing.

"My goodness," says Pippi as a trickle of blood makes its way down the center of her face, "You're a sturdy boy aren't you?"

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] fh-dangershop.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
The robot didn't bother to answer. Since it was starting to smoke, and possibly about to explode.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh nasty smoke, we've seen these things explode before...

Pippi throws the robot off of her and at the shooty robots.

She flips around and scrabbles away, diving into a junk pile the way Scrooge MacDuck dives into a pile of gold coins.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] fh-dangershop.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
The robot explodes spectacularly, taking out a whole hoarde of its comrades and clearing a path through the chaos.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hopefully, the path leads to the console.

Hey look! There's my shotty!

"Sam!" she called out, not sure if anybody could hear her. "I've made a hole! Where are you?"

Pippi grits her teeth and darts out of the junk pile. She tucks and rolls as she grabs her shot gun.

*chack chack*

That's just a really great sound, it really lifts her spirits.

She follows the path of destruction, keeping an eye out to make sure it stays some semblance of clear.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] fh-dangershop.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
A single robot steps into the path and fires at Pippi.

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] strongestgirl.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
*BOOM*

The gun goes off as the laser shot hits Pippi in her already shot shoulder.

*chack chack*

Oh man, it hurt to do that, her shoulder was an all new experience in a level of pain. Pain, itself, was not something Pippi had a working relationship as it was.

"Out of my way!"

Re: Pippi and the Robot

[identity profile] fh-dangershop.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
The robots, as a rule, didn't listen well. It advanced and fired again.
