Shop Class: [2/27] - Danger Shop Craziness

As the students enter the shop room, Mac greets them with a smile.

After everyone arrives and signs-in, Mac makes some adjustments to the remote control and the room turns into a metal scrapyard.

"Hey everyone. Welcome to Shop Class. Today we'll be doing another one of our Junkyard creativity excercises..."

*SLAM* *CLUNK*

Mac looks over at the doors to the shop class which have closed and locked on their own. "Hal? Could you open please?"

"I'm sorry Mac," said a monotone voice. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Apparently someone is very upset at you."

Five robots shimmer into existence around the group of students.

"Okay. This is not good," Mac muttered to himself. "Kids! Run for it! Get into the supply room! There's no holoprojectors there!"

"Like your shoes, I mourn them, but at least they're dying for a good cause," Xander says. Shouts, really, over the gunshots.

"You wanna try to get through these together? Hook arms or something?" John offers his arm. "So we won't get separated."

"Uh.... Sure?" Xander links arms with John. And suspects the robots are now seeing that 'We're off to see the warlock' song from The Warlock of Id.

The robot, not being a big fan of twinkies, boykissy, or musicals, fired directly at their joined hands.

John doesn't yank away quite fast enough and takes a shot to the hand.

"Crap! Ow!" He shakes his hand, blows on it, sees that it's burned and frowns. "I hate school," he says but links his arm and hand back with Xander's.

Xander, considering his hand was in the same place as John's takes a shot to the hand too. Just his little finger, though, since he's a little more used to jumping back instantly from accidental hand-to-hand contact between boy-people.

"It does have its down-times," Xander agrees.

The robot, distracted by firing at Pip, turned and gave John and Xander a moment to regroup. Not that that was its intent, of course.

"Xander," John whispers. "Wanna barrel into his back? Kinda like Red Rover, Red Rover send John and Xander right over?"

"John," Xander whispers, "you're slightly insane. Not necessarily in a bad way. But sure. What the hell. You only live twice. Unless you're really lucky or you're Mr. What."

The robots, if they're not fighting off the signal, see a girl beating a pepper-pot shaped one of their kind to smoking smitereens with a baseball bat.

John, hoping that distraction works, starts running and hopes Xander is beside him. And, together, they barrel into the robot's back...

Well of course Xander is beside John! Where else would he be, OMG!

The robot, staring in horror at the blasphemy that corrupted its programming, stopped.

And was promptly knocked to the ground by the force of the combined might of Xander, John, and flaming twinkies.

John does a victory dance. Yes, he totally dances.

Xander, still on the floor amid a pile of twinkies and fallen robot, looks up at John and bursts into hysterical giggles.

Pip fires at the robot firing at John and Xander.

He does not take kindly to robots firing at his friends. Even if they currently look like rejects from a 1930's movie.

The robot turned, and fired right at Pip.

Pip rolled to the side, but not before taking a graze to the upper arm. He brought the M-16 up to his shoulder, took careful aim at the robot, and fired.

The robot fell back to the floor from the force of the shots, but slowly rose to its feet and advanced on Pip.

Pip grunted. "How much do I have to do to kill you guys!" He pulled the trigger again and was greated with a click. Rising, he threw the empty gun at the robot and dived for the gun rack.

A monotone chuckle is heard. "Are you having problems Mr. Bernadette?"

The robot begins to advance again towards Pip.

"Not yet," Pip said, snagging a shotgun. He loaded the shells and fired at the robot.

BLAM!

The robot explodes into a pile of shrapnel.

Of course another one marches up to take it's place.

Pip does the one handed slide pull You know, the one that looks really badass and fires at the new robot.

The robot fired a laser at Pip even as it staggered back.
