Shop Class: [2/27] - Danger Shop Craziness

As the students enter the shop room, Mac greets them with a smile.

After everyone arrives and signs-in, Mac makes some adjustments to the remote control and the room turns into a metal scrapyard.

"Hey everyone. Welcome to Shop Class. Today we'll be doing another one of our Junkyard creativity excercises..."

*SLAM* *CLUNK*

Mac looks over at the doors to the shop class which have closed and locked on their own. "Hal? Could you open please?"

"I'm sorry Mac," said a monotone voice. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Apparently someone is very upset at you."

Five robots shimmer into existence around the group of students.

"Okay. This is not good," Mac muttered to himself. "Kids! Run for it! Get into the supply room! There's no holoprojectors there!"

Xander crouches down beside Nadia and John. "Breathing, which is always a plus."

He's pretty sure a bit of exploding robot dinged him hard on the already-wounded side of his face, but it's a little hard to separate the old pain from the new.

Nadia groaned, and with a tremendous effort managed to open one eye. Everything was really very blurry and painfilled, but there were two guys staring down at her. . . . She groaned and blinked.

"Hola. Usted es atractivo. Ambos usted. ¿Qué sucedió?"

"Eso es agradable. ¿Puedo ir a dormir otra vez, ahora?" She closed her eye, because keeping it open hurt. A lot.

So did most of the rest of her. She really wanted to just pass out again.

Xander, speaker of bad French, Cat, Dragon, and Spider, and mildly decent Rat, picks up... atractivo. And that's about it.

"Obviously talking about you, dude," he says to John.

Nadia wanted to object, but a part of her knew Sydney was right. She cracked her eyes open again and made an attempt to sit up.

It didn't really work, but it was the effort that counted, right?

"Madre del dios, esa daños"

"Take it easy," John says, making sure she doesn't tear anything or do anything to cause further injury. "And yeah, I think the supply closet is a good idea right now."

"That was the plan," Xander says, nodding. He offers a shoulder and an arm to help lift her up, though given how out of it she is, carrying her might be the better option.

Nadia swallowed. "Yo. . . ." She blinked and frowned. "I'm okay," she says, a statement which is almost completely invalidated by the fact that it took her an effort to remember that she speaks English. She made another attempt to sit up, slower this time. "'mokay," she muttered again.

"Maybe you are but let us help," John says, sliding one of her arms across his shoulders and letting Xander take the other one. "It's not far."

"Either she thinks she's a monkey, or she thinks she's okay. Either way, clearly hallucinating," Xander whispers, shaking his head. He shifts Nadia's weight against his shoulder and moves forward, trying not to jostle her too much.

John turns towards Sydney. "You're all right to walk? You good?"

Nadia bit her lip as pain shot up from her knee but made the effort to take some of her own weight and focus. "Did we win yet?"

Answering Nadia's question, John chuckles lightly. "I have no idea. All I want right now is some painkillers and a bed. We'll see what's going on when we make it to the supply closet. Almost there now."

"Is everyone else okay?" Nadia attempted to look around, but, heyhey, that just made the throbbing get louder. "Pippi was in trouble,"

"She's the one who told us you went down," Xander says. "So last we heard from her she was okay."

"She threw her boots at us and one almost knocked Xander over," John says. "I think she's kicking ass somewhere in here."

"Oh." Nadia said. "Good." She let out a sound that was halfway between a laugh and a sob. "Know what really sucks? I actually liked this class."

"As long as that doesn't include the fleshy types, which would be us, I'm good with that assessment." Xander shoots a glare over his shoulder at the pile of robot rubble.

"Robots are mean," John simply says. They're almost back in the supply room (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/676188.html?thread=32359004#t32359004) now. "Bastard robots."
