Shop Class: [2/27] - Danger Shop Craziness

As the students enter the shop room, Mac greets them with a smile.

After everyone arrives and signs-in, Mac makes some adjustments to the remote control and the room turns into a metal scrapyard.

"Hey everyone. Welcome to Shop Class. Today we'll be doing another one of our Junkyard creativity excercises..."

*SLAM* *CLUNK*

Mac looks over at the doors to the shop class which have closed and locked on their own. "Hal? Could you open please?"

"I'm sorry Mac," said a monotone voice. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Apparently someone is very upset at you."

Five robots shimmer into existence around the group of students.

"Okay. This is not good," Mac muttered to himself. "Kids! Run for it! Get into the supply room! There's no holoprojectors there!"

The robot jolts with each bullet and then turns to face Syd, approaching her slowly.

John takes this opportunity to pull Nadia away from the robot and back towards Xander. "You got the other gun, Xander?"

Xander didn't then, but he does now. "On it."

John reaches for something, anything and comes up with a potted plant holder. Not caring, he chucks it at the back of the robot's head.

Xander brings up Nadia's gun, and fires at the robot's head, making sure Sydney is not in the bullets' path, first.

Unfortunately, nothing happens. Because the gun is out of bullets.

"Frak."

"Um." John's cradling Nadia now, trying to keep her out of the sight of the robot. "Throw the gun at the robot maybe?"

Despite the planter being thrown on it, the robot continues its advance on Syd, jolting around with each bullet fired.

My, what a good idea. I wish I'd thought of that!

With a shrug, Xander follows John's lead, and throws the gun hard at the robot's head.

The gun bounces off the robots head, making it turn and head in Xander's general direction despite all the bullets, planters and guns still thrown at it.

However it doe look pretty beat up. One more thing may make it fall apart.

Xander thinks State of the Union Address really really hard at it, and hopes that's being replayed somewhere so the thing can go to silicon hell in style if its sensors pick up the channel.

Xander crouches down beside Nadia and John. "Breathing, which is always a plus."

He's pretty sure a bit of exploding robot dinged him hard on the already-wounded side of his face, but it's a little hard to separate the old pain from the new.

Nadia groaned, and with a tremendous effort managed to open one eye. Everything was really very blurry and painfilled, but there were two guys staring down at her. . . . She groaned and blinked.

"Hola. Usted es atractivo. Ambos usted. ¿Qué sucedió?"

"Eso es agradable. ¿Puedo ir a dormir otra vez, ahora?" She closed her eye, because keeping it open hurt. A lot.

So did most of the rest of her. She really wanted to just pass out again.

Xander, speaker of bad French, Cat, Dragon, and Spider, and mildly decent Rat, picks up... atractivo. And that's about it.

"Obviously talking about you, dude," he says to John.

Nadia wanted to object, but a part of her knew Sydney was right. She cracked her eyes open again and made an attempt to sit up.

It didn't really work, but it was the effort that counted, right?

"Madre del dios, esa daños"

"Take it easy," John says, making sure she doesn't tear anything or do anything to cause further injury. "And yeah, I think the supply closet is a good idea right now."

"That was the plan," Xander says, nodding. He offers a shoulder and an arm to help lift her up, though given how out of it she is, carrying her might be the better option.

Nadia swallowed. "Yo. . . ." She blinked and frowned. "I'm okay," she says, a statement which is almost completely invalidated by the fact that it took her an effort to remember that she speaks English. She made another attempt to sit up, slower this time. "'mokay," she muttered again.
