Shop Class: [2/27] - Danger Shop Craziness

As the students enter the shop room, Mac greets them with a smile.

After everyone arrives and signs-in, Mac makes some adjustments to the remote control and the room turns into a metal scrapyard.

"Hey everyone. Welcome to Shop Class. Today we'll be doing another one of our Junkyard creativity excercises..."

*SLAM* *CLUNK*

Mac looks over at the doors to the shop class which have closed and locked on their own. "Hal? Could you open please?"

"I'm sorry Mac," said a monotone voice. "I'm afraid I can't do that. Apparently someone is very upset at you."

Five robots shimmer into existence around the group of students.

"Okay. This is not good," Mac muttered to himself. "Kids! Run for it! Get into the supply room! There's no holoprojectors there!"

Pippi gives the robot a shake, the short of shake that might knock an organic creature into unconsciousness. This is not likely to happen with a robot, but possibly throw its sensors off for a short time?

She moves forward and scans through the smoke for anything else that may have a bead on Walter. If she sees something metallic and dangerous, she will throw the held robot at it.

Another robot approaches from Pippi's side and fires at her.

Pippi turns when she hears a noise, possibly a robot stepping on something crunchy? She's taken completely by surprise and the shot hits her in the hip.

She crys out in surprise and her right leg buckles a bit. Her hands clench with the pain, her fingers digging into the metal that makes up the robot above her head.

She holds her captive robot out in front of her as a shield to buy some time to regain her feet.

"Hey robots?! Please stop hurting us and we'll stop hurting you! Okay?"

"I'm sorry Ms. Longstocking, but I'm afraid I can't do that."

Pippi managed to stand up besides the fact that her right hip was yelling at her, "Hey! That's not funny!" Metaphorically of course.

Keeping an eye out and her wriggling shield up, she moved forward towards the robot who shot her.

"Why not? Things were going so nicely, last week was really fun. I really liked you. It would really be best if you just stop."

"The parameters of programming has been changed, Ms. Longstocking. Stopping is no longer an option."

Pippi crept closer to the shooty robot keeping as much of herself covered as possible.

"Changed by who? And why?"

"I am not allowed to divulge that information, Ms. Longstocking."

"You told Professor MacGyver that somebody was upset with him when you closed the door... Can't you tell us more about that?"

She brought the robot she was holding around and slammed its head into the robot that was standing before her.

"I'd really rather not have to hurt you, but if you keep hurting my friends I'll have do decide I'm not your friend."

"I am not allowed to divulge that information." repeated Hal.

Several more robots formed around Pippi, zeroing in for the attack.

Exterminate

"But you already have." she said, sizing up the robots around her and tightening her grip on her "shield".

"You told us that somebody was upset with Professor MacGyver. You've already divulged information... So you may as well finish."

The robots started closing in, as Hal processed her request in silence for a moment.

"I am not allowed to divulge further information."

Nadia spotted the daleks surrounding Pippi, and figuring Mac would be alright in the supply room, tucked her mallet in her belt and brought her gun to bear on them from behind.

"Pippi, watch out!"

Several of the robots sparked and smoked after getting hit, and more appeared around Nadia.

Pippi swung her "shield" around to knock over the remaining robots around her. Hopefully the more advanced robot she had was more sturdy then these.

"I'm watching! You watch out too!"

Nadia cursed as the robots turned towards her. Pippi's plan of using one as a weapon was a good one . . . but one Nadia couldn't utilize herself. She emptied her clip into the surrounding robots and then pulled out her mallet.

This would probably get a bit messy.

More bullets = more robots exploding.

More robots exploding = more robots appearing in their place. They started closing in.

Nadia cursed and swung her mallet. She'd meant what she'd told Marty and Veronica: she would do whatever it took to survive at this school.

Nadia's mallet caught one of the robots in the head just as it was firing at her, altering its aim for something much lower than its intended body shot.

The laser caught Nadia in the left knee and her leg buckled. She threw out her arms to catch herself, but landed awkwardly, sending a sharp pain up from her injured hand and causing her head to strike the ground solidly.

The world grayed out and turned black.

The robots left Nadia for dead and turned back to Pippi.

Exterminate

"Nadia!!"

Pippi made her way to Nadia waving her "shield" around to sweep the other robots out of her way. That shield robot is getting pritty banged up.

The robots fell back from around Pippi, then began firing.

Seeing them fall back, Pippi realized she was surrounded and hunkered down underneath what is left of her "shield". Acting as her shield has cost the robot an arm and a leg, literally.

The injury to her hip made her stumble and she received a hit to her left leg. She tried to scurry up one of the robots before the rest of the one she was holding above her was shot away.

Time for a new shield.

The other robots continued to fire on Pippi . . . and as a result ended up striking the robot she was climbing, which started to smoke.
