Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

Vala managed to get the door open and climb out onto the roof. She could shoot a Zat just fine one-handed, and she wouldn't have to wade through snow to do it.

Cordy followed Vala and stepped out onto the roof, taken aback slightly by the cold. "Man, it's freezing out here," she said, getting ready to shoulder the crossbow.

Jack comes up with the first fifteen loads of pots, fuel and oil to boil.

Jack comes up with the second fifteen loads. He's raided the trash cans and dumpsters for burnable stuff. "Hey, Vala!"

Lee hauls ass up the stairs to the roof with a long-range sniper weapon in his hands.

The lawn below the defenders is beginning to fill up with snowmen and monsters. None have looked up yet.

Vala figures it's time to find out. She takes careful aim at one of the monsters in the lead and fires her Zat gun.

Lee carefully watches the monsters through the sniper gun's scope and waits. "I hate this part."

Jack grabs the first pot of oil that seems to be hot enough to do some damage and pours it down.

Using the spare pulse gun thingy Aeryn keeps, John takes careful aim at the snow monsters.

Damn evil Frosty lookalikes.

Angela grabs a pot of oil and goes to pour it on the attackers.

Unfortunately, she grabs it too fast and the oil slops over onto her hand, oozing through her glove and burning her wrist. She yelps in pain, but manages to pour the rest of the oil down onto the snow monsters.

Jack grabs another pot of oil with his makeshift potholder (his shirt) and pours it over the side. Unfortunately, they're going to run out of oil in a hurry like this. "I'm going back down to the cafeteria to get more oil! Anyone want to help lug?"

Marty appears on the roof with his sniper rifle, his two glocks and his machine gun plus enough ammo for all.

"Sniper rifle is mine, but anyone who needs something better than a slingshot feel free to help yourself."

Lee runs up to the roof, collects Rory's coffee makers and makes a quick escape back into the building.

Chloe climbed up to the roof, her camcorder slung over her shoulder. She knew she wouldn't be any help on the ground, but the thought of staying inside and missing everything was just insane. Besides, next year's freshmen might never believe the stories about snow monsters if there wasn't video evidence.
