Monster attack

Shots can still be heard down in the town. The troopers seem to be all tied up down there. Which is why it might be disconcerting to anyone watching out the windows to see figures begin rising out of the snow on the lawn of the school. More are moving out of the trees also.

They begin making their way toward the buildings.

Vala figures it's time to find out. She takes careful aim at one of the monsters in the lead and fires her Zat gun.

"Damn!" Vala cursed, tossing the Zat to one side. She pulled the rifle off her shoulder and went about trying to prop the barrel up on the edge of the roof so she could shoot it one-handed.

She fired a shot or two towards the biggest snow monsters, hoping to at least connect.

One snowman responded to a bullet barely grazing his butt. He didn't look happy, but he wasn't slowing down either.

Vala curses. She can't aim this thing with only one hand. She sees John take off one of their heads with his pulse gun and scowls, looking longingly at her Zat.

Dropping the rifle in case someone else needs it, she headed over to the fire. And the half-naked Jack. "Hey, what can I do?"

Jack looks at her, and the cast on her wrist. "Can you keep adding fuel to the fire?" He points at stacks of newspapers, and grins cockily at her. "Gotta keep the ammunition hot."
