The Fandom High Tour! Saturday afternoon

At 1:00, The Tick was standing outside the school doors, waiting for any family or friends who may show up. Once they had a good group and it didn't seem like anyone else was coming, Tick said, "Well, I think that's everyone! Hello, and welcome to Fandom High! I am The Tick, Dean of Students here, and I will be your Virgil as we descend into the Seven Circles that we call school!"

The Tick thought for a moment. "Not that I'm suggesting that this school is the underworld. I was really just going with the concept of the Guide character in classic literature. Anyway, let's head on in! And if you have any questions, please ask!"

[OOC: After I get all of the OCD up, I'll be heading to work for a few hours. I shall be slow, but available to have Tick answer any questions.

This is a half-play post, half-linkdrop. Teachers who are not specifically linked to in the OCD, if you could post a link to your classroom or office post in the Classrooms OOC thread, that would be appreciated. Parents can break away from the tour to talk to those any teachers. The tour will go slowly enough to not lose people.

Parents, you can ping in wherever you might have something specific to comment on, or wherever you might talk to someone about something. Considering how many threads there are, though, and how many people may be in here, I wouldn't mind if comments that just check into the room thread are left out for the sakes of everyone's browsers.

There is also a general mingling in the dorm lobby thread if anyone wants to end the tour in another big group meeting. :) ]

"Here you see our classrooms! This is where we teach your children, friends, or other relations a wide variety of subjects! We have classes on history, mythology, criminal justice, spying, and Science! If you want to stop and visit one of your student's teachers today, they will either be here or in their offices."

The Hallways

"Over there you'll see Locker 327, one of the most mysterious things in Fandom. Sometimes, if a student isn't careful, it'll open up and temporarily transport them somewhere else. Nobody knows how this came to be, but be it does! Don't get too close. Stay on this side of the hallway as we pass it by."

Sir Myles had no particular desire to get transported somewhere else, but he couldn't help being interested in the locker. Carefully remaining on the other side of the hallway, he stopped to examine it. From the outside, it really looked sadly normal.

Nikki eyed the locker from a safe distance. It looked harmless enough, but she'd already learned not to trust first impressions.

Molly eyed the locker, and considered using the fellytone to tell Arthur.

But then she realized that it would only result in a multitude of questions when she arrived back at the Burrow, if he didn't come to visit himself.

She also thought that the stationary staircases were rather strange.

The Cafeteria

"This is where our students have lunch. There used to be certain issues with the quality of the food - it reportedly once made a student think he was the principal we had at that time, and I believe it - but it hasn't done that in a long time. The Chef and Das Schnitzel should be here, so let's see if they have anything cooking!"

The Chef and Das Schnitzel were here. The Chef was bouncing around, tossing flour up in the air, sometimes tossing flowers up in the air. Das Schnitzel rolled her eyes. This should be interesting.

The Danger Shop

"Last year, this was where our shop class was held. Another school was kind enough to provide equipment that allowed our shop teacher to assemble an adaptable virtual environment. We can make it look like anything! We currently use it for detentions. It allows our instructors to make it a much more interactive experience."

"Today it looks like a park. I had something clever in mind for detention this week, but your students were very well behaved and nobody received detention. Well, Jamie Madrox, but he has other arrangements."

The Library

"Here we have the library, home of the books! This is a fairly important social place for the students. I guess they like studying that much. Ms Readman should be here, so let's go inside (http://agentthepaper.livejournal.com/1916.html). If you have any questions, you can direct them to her!"

The School Office

"This is where all of our paperwork is filed! The school office is a strange place, but it's effective. We have a former policeman, a squirrel, and a bunch of animate skeletons on staff. Oh, and there's Bob Gremlin! He's a gremlin, but don't worry, he doesn't bite!"

Bob Gremlin waved.

As an exobiologist, studying different life forms was exactly what Samantha did. But she had never, in any of Starfleet's databanks or her years in the Delta Quadrant, seen anything like Bob Gremlin.

She couldn't help whipping out her tricorder and trying to see what kind of readings she could pick up on the . . . gremlin.

The Principal's Office

"Here we have the office of Zoe Washburn, Principal of Fandom High!" The Tick stopped and waved to Zoe from the hallway. "She is the fifth principal we've had since opening last fall and is by far our longest lasting leader! The Gym

"Here we have the gym! Students are here nigh every day working out, training, and-slash-or blowing off some steam! In times of need it can also double as a dance hall or a shelter of some sort! If you want to try out what we have here, please do!"

The Gun Range and Salle

"Here we have the gun range! I avoid it whenever possible because I don't like guns. Bullets sting. But a lot of our students have training with weapons and like to have a safe place to use them. Our Gun Club meets here weekly."

"Continuing that, right next door is the salle, our area for practicing with swords and other melee tools. We have practice swords for training, although the rare students who have their own swords like to use them here. We also have a Fencing Club for people who want to practice their swordwork."

"Both of these facilities are monitored at all times to help ensure that everything is perfectly safe!"

The Garage

"This is our garage for small vehicles. We provide a large number of bicycles for the students' use in getting around town quickly. Some students have motorcycles or hoverbikes of some sort here as well."

"And not too far from here is the stables, which is kind of like a living garage, I suppose."

Winry, upon seeing the motorcycles and hoverbikes, breaks off from the main group and begins tinkering with them.

There may or may not be a few left completely de-constructed by the time she's left.

The Computer Lab

The Observatory

Azula made it onto the island a day later than expected. It hadn't been too hard to find the school and when she noticed the crowd gathering in one building, she slipped inside.

So this was where her brother had gone into hiding. Ignoring the other people around her, she took in her surroundings. This world was strange, but she had to hand it to Zuko, he had managed to find somewhere that could have been safe. Could have, if whoever ran this sorry excuse for a school hadn’t made the mistake of contacting Firelord Ozai.

Parents weekend, Azula sneered, but as she stepped forward it turned into a pleasant smile. It was time to find out what her worthless brother had been up to.
