At 1:00, The Tick was standing outside the school doors, waiting for any family or friends who may show up. Once they had a good group and it didn't seem like anyone else was coming, Tick said, "Well, I think that's everyone! Hello, and welcome to Fandom High! I am The Tick, Dean of Students here, and I will be your Virgil as we descend into the Seven Circles that we call school!"

The Tick thought for a moment. "Not that I'm suggesting that this school is the underworld. I was really just going with the concept of the Guide character in classic literature. Anyway, let's head on in! And if you have any questions, please ask!"

[OOC: After I get all of the OCD up, I'll be heading to work for a few hours. I shall be slow, but available to have Tick answer any questions.

This is a half-play post, half-linkdrop. Teachers who are not specifically linked to in the OCD, if you could post a link to your classroom or office post in the Classrooms OOC thread, that would be appreciated. Parents can break away from the tour to talk to those any teachers. The tour will go slowly enough to not lose people.

Parents, you can ping in wherever you might have something specific to comment on, or wherever you might talk to someone about something. Considering how many threads there are, though, and how many people may be in here, I wouldn't mind if comments that just check into the room thread are left out for the sakes of everyone's browsers.

There is also a general mingling in the dorm lobby thread if anyone wants to end the tour in another big group meeting. :) ]

River really wasn't that well informed in witch-demon issues, so she just nodded. "No relatives of yours here?"

Bel winced. "Not anymore," he said.

River took it that was a good thing. "My brother is here. And the captain is here to, to visit Kaylee. But he scared Blair." The last part was added with a sulky look on her face.

Bel snickered. "Let me guess, 'lay one hand on her and I'll kill you'?"

"It was more like 'get her pregnant and I'll castrate you'. Besides, I can look after myself."

"Do I need to give Blair a safe sex talk?" Bel asked, trying not to snicker some more.

"No. It was just being threatened by Mal, and the subject of babies." River glared a little at Bel.

"That frightens most guys," Bel said solemnly.

"I've noticed," River said drily. "They all ran away. At least Mal paid the bill."

"Bill for what?" Bel asked.

"Lunch," River clairfied.

"Ah, got it," Bel said. "Well, I'm sure Blair will find some way to make it up to you."

"It's ok. He's not used to Mal." River shrugged. She thought for a moment. "If Blait pretends he's dating Phoebe I can pretend to be dating you," she offered.

Bel blinked at the offer. "Thanks, but I don't think it's necessary," he said. "My foster father's already met a fake Phoebe at the last Parents Weekend, but hopefully he won't be back here anytime soon."

River didn't take offence. "I assume that's a good thing," she said.

Bel nodded. "Yeah, a very good thing." He absently rubbed at his face, which was still bruised from the hits he took from Raynor last night.

River knew Bel well enough not to ask too much about that. "Have to find Simon," she mumbled.

"Yeah, catch you later then," Bel said. "I need to go find Zuko anyway."
