The Fandom High Tour! Saturday afternoon

At 1:00, The Tick was standing outside the school doors, waiting for any family or friends who may show up. Once they had a good group and it didn't seem like anyone else was coming, Tick said, "Well, I think that's everyone! Hello, and welcome to Fandom High! I am The Tick, Dean of Students here, and I will be your Virgil as we descend into the Seven Circles that we call school!"

The Tick thought for a moment. "Not that I'm suggesting that this school is the underworld. I was really just going with the concept of the Guide character in classic literature. Anyway, let's head on in! And if you have any questions, please ask!"

[OOC: After I get all of the OCD up, I'll be heading to work for a few hours. I shall be slow, but available to have Tick answer any questions.

This is a half-play post, half-linkdrop. Teachers who are not specifically linked to in the OCD, if you could post a link to your classroom or office post in the Classrooms OOC thread, that would be appreciated. Parents can break away from the tour to talk to those any teachers. The tour will go slowly enough to not lose people.

Parents, you can ping in wherever you might have something specific to comment on, or wherever you might talk to someone about something. Considering how many threads there are, though, and how many people may be in here, I wouldn't mind if comments that just check into the room thread are left out for the sakes of everyone's browsers.

There is also a general mingling in the dorm lobby thread if anyone wants to end the tour in another big group meeting. :) ]

"Blair!" Evie waved to him as she walked over, towing a man about five or six years older than her, with the same eyes, behind her. "Blair, Blair! You must meet my brother. Jonathan, this is my Fandom High School Official Big Brother, Blair Sandburg. Blair, this is my brother, Jonathan." She beamed at both of them, looking thrilled.

"Evie!" Blair bounced up to greet them both, giving Evie a hug and sticking out a hand for Jonathan. "Hey, man, it's great to meet you!"

Jonathan squinted at the odd little man. "Dear God, is that how they're wearing hair in the 21st Century? No offense, old fellow."

"Jonathan," Evie chided. "I *told* you fashions changed. I should have worn the costume I had on Thursday. Please don't take that personally, Blair."

"No offense, man." Blair laughed. "Not everyone wears their hair like mine, I tend to be a bit bohemian."

"I've got nothing against an open-minded fellow. I happen to have a trinket of..." He glanced at Evie. "Never mind. Pleasure to make you acquaintance, Blair."

Blair really wanted to ask about the trinket, but held off for now. "So how are you liking Fandom?"

"It's beyond my comprehension. I hear you have a device which can instantly retrieve historical information from any era. I would love to have someone show me how that's done." Jonathan didn't suppose that would get past Evie, but it was worth a shot.

"Jonathan," Evie looked very exasperated. "Do not let him do that, Blair! He wants sports information, for gambling. Stop it."

"Oh, Evie. You never let me have any fun. Think of what I could do with the winnings. Set up a charity. Fund digs. Make sure you never have to work unless you want to." Jonathan looked at Blair. "Come on..."

"I'd normally be all about helping you out, man." Blair shrugged and pointed at Evie. "But I'm sadly wrapped around Evie's finger. If she says no, it's a no."

Jonathan looked quite miffed, really.

Evie patted his shoulder. "There, there. We can go to the bar that's here on the Island, after dinner? Caritas? You can see the zombies, and all the people, and have new types of alcohol," she coaxed. "Tell him it's a very jolly pub, Blair."

"Anything you can imagine to drink all with little umbrellas on top plus you can sing on the stage." Blair bounced. "Which is easier to do after you've drank a lot of umbrella drinks."

"Evie, I do not sing. Well, I sing if I've had a lot to drink. Maybe not that much. I could use a drink right now."
