The Fandom High Tour! Saturday afternoon

At 1:00, The Tick was standing outside the school doors, waiting for any family or friends who may show up. Once they had a good group and it didn't seem like anyone else was coming, Tick said, "Well, I think that's everyone! Hello, and welcome to Fandom High! I am The Tick, Dean of Students here, and I will be your Virgil as we descend into the Seven Circles that we call school!"

The Tick thought for a moment. "Not that I'm suggesting that this school is the underworld. I was really just going with the concept of the Guide character in classic literature. Anyway, let's head on in! And if you have any questions, please ask!"

[OOC: After I get all of the OCD up, I'll be heading to work for a few hours. I shall be slow, but available to have Tick answer any questions.

This is a half-play post, half-linkdrop. Teachers who are not specifically linked to in the OCD, if you could post a link to your classroom or office post in the Classrooms OOC thread, that would be appreciated. Parents can break away from the tour to talk to those any teachers. The tour will go slowly enough to not lose people.

Parents, you can ping in wherever you might have something specific to comment on, or wherever you might talk to someone about something. Considering how many threads there are, though, and how many people may be in here, I wouldn't mind if comments that just check into the room thread are left out for the sakes of everyone's browsers.

There is also a general mingling in the dorm lobby thread if anyone wants to end the tour in another big group meeting. :) ]

"He was telling me interesting things," she replied, giving his hand a firm shake. "Mostly about your protesting his classes. Did you really dress up as a rawhead and hug him?"

"Yeah, I did." Blair gave a bounce. "Him and Sam both. They're pretty good huggers."

"I've gotten hugs from Sam, but not John. You should make him get hugged more often - it might improve his mood a little."

"You have to just pounce on him. I think he probably wants to hug deep inside but just don't feel comfortable enough with his masculinity to verbalize that." Blair nodded and bounced. "Hugging worked much better than most of my protests, so I might go back to that."

"What kind of protesting have you been doing?" she asked curiously.

"It started out protesting the fact that we have a class teaching people how to kill things." Blair stated. "But now it's more about adding non-violent forms of conflict resolution to the mix. I'm going for a less killing thing.

Blair wasn't stupid, he wasn't going to mention specifics about some of his failed protests or detention-worthy words with a friend of Mr. Winchester's.

"And you think that will work. Being non-violent." It wasn't a question really; she could tell how earnest he felt about this subject. It was like dealing with a customer whose future only held bad things - she didn't have the heart to tell him how wrong his idea had the potential to be. "I imagine that doesn't go over very well with John at all."

"Yeah, I think it will." Blair nodded earnestly. "I mean, I'm beginning to understand that sometimes talking doesn't work. But I really think that non-violence is the answer."

"Um..." Blair thought it over and shrugged. "Mr. Winchester is actually okay with it most of time. He just tends to get jumpy over certain topics." When I stick my foot in my mouth and call him a murderer or make comments about his dead wife, Blair thought, but didn't add that part.

Missouri didn't want to think about what John must have been like at being called a murderer, or at having to talk about Mary. "As long as you're learning what topics to avoid, you should be fine. Whatever you do, don't stop arguing with him. John needs someone to keep him on his toes, and I think you're just the person to do it."

"As long as I'm here, I'll keep arguing." Blair nodded. "Although the next time I argue with him I'm telling him that I got your approval to do it."

"Go ahead. Maybe then he'll call me to yell at me, and I won't have to come all the way out here to check on him."

Blair laughed. "Maybe I'll throw in a 'Call Missouri' protest sign every once in a while."

"Oh, you're a good boy," Missouri said, laughing in return. "I should probably let you go. I've got a few more people I have to track down. But it was good to meet you, Blair."

"It was good to meet you too." Blair smiled.
