Even Anakin wasn't going to invite the entire town to stand outside in radiation and next to a bomb just for a day of competition (though yes, he had considered in for a hot minute). Today's event was being held in the community center and the flickering lights and general malaise just kind of added to what would be the world's weirdest fashion show.

Because, yes, there was a catwalk set up down the center, currently being sat upon by a small herd (committee? Murder?) of gremlins.

"Today we will reprise last year's highly popular gremlin fashion show," Anakin yelled into the completely unnecessary bullhorn.

It was only popular if you'd talked to Sparkle and Brooke, who'd been judges last year, but details. "You will be paired up!" Anakin continued. "You will have a variety of crafting supplies including macrame patterns, felt, rope, yarn, glue, staplers, and stun guns!"

Stun guns were craft supplies if you squinted? Maybe?

"You will have a half hour to create your masterpiece, another fifteen minutes to fit your model into it without getting bitten--" so good luck with that, "and then send him, her, or them down the runway for our guest judges to assess your work!"

He gestured at the chairs next to the runway. "Please welcome--" he frowned as Beaker handed him the list, "--Sparkle, Brooke, Keyleth, and..Camden."

This wasn't exactly what he meant when he'd asked Beaker to round up some catty judges. Oh well!

Hannibal was rather disgruntled about not being able to judge this instead of participating. That said, he was going to have the best-damn-dressed gremlin ever!

He was already collecting the puce and magenta scraps to weave them together into a nice plaid.

Between Bus Shenanigans, Bus Detention, and Minor Roof-Top Existential Crises, Prompto had had a really long night and was pretty much exhausted to the point where he thought about just skipping this whole Wednesday activity thing, but Ho. Lee. Crap, was he glad he didn't! Uhhhhh, fashion challenge? YES, please! And paired up with seriously one of the most fashionable teacher in the whole school (facial hair notwithstanding)?? BONUS.

Yeah, he could totally get pumped for this, no matter how sleep deprived he was.

He'd just have to watch out for the gremlins, but that should be pretty easy...right?

So, grabbing a few things that sparked his own creativity, he headed over to where Dr. Lecter was already starting on something. "Oh, cool, you've already got an idea?"

This week he'd woken up to realize that he was three-for-three now with experience in those realities that people had been dragged to the first time anyone had experienced this particular wasteland, and he'd been camped out at home refusing to acknowledge it until today.

"Well, this could've worked out worse," Fjord mused, turning a grin Amaya's way. "Looks like we get to exercise our fashion skills this week, hm?"

... Fjord's armor was cobbled together from multiple armor pieces and it was possible that he'd stolen the red rope on them from somebody's curtains or something, so sure, this would go great.

Tip grabbed a stapler and a mustard colored shirt. She looked at the gremlins, and grabbed an orange-red one.

This was maybe going to be a very autumnal gremlin.

Oh, heck yes! Summer was all about fashion challenges, even if the model itself was the biggest part of the challenge. So, like a magpie, flouncing around in her period-appropriate dress, she went and made sure to collect as many of the shinier and prettier supplies as she could before making her way to her partner.

"Okay, it is on," she gushed with an eager grin, dumping her armload of supplies on the table. "Clearly, we have to go for something really pretty but also really practical. I'm talking plenty of pockets, a good place to put a gun or sword or whatever weapon of choice. Cute, and chic, but not predictable. It's got to have that sort of runway wow factor, but also seem nicely practical for every day as well."

She was clearly living for this.

"Any thoughts?"

Plus, there was the whole thing with the models.

There was a pause, and then he held up a flask.
