Even Anakin wasn't going to invite the entire town to stand outside in radiation and next to a bomb just for a day of competition (though yes, he had considered in for a hot minute). Today's event was being held in the community center and the flickering lights and general malaise just kind of added to what would be the world's weirdest fashion show.

Because, yes, there was a catwalk set up down the center, currently being sat upon by a small herd (committee? Murder?) of gremlins.

"Today we will reprise last year's highly popular gremlin fashion show," Anakin yelled into the completely unnecessary bullhorn.

It was only popular if you'd talked to Sparkle and Brooke, who'd been judges last year, but details. "You will be paired up!" Anakin continued. "You will have a variety of crafting supplies including macrame patterns, felt, rope, yarn, glue, staplers, and stun guns!"

Stun guns were craft supplies if you squinted? Maybe?

"You will have a half hour to create your masterpiece, another fifteen minutes to fit your model into it without getting bitten--" so good luck with that, "and then send him, her, or them down the runway for our guest judges to assess your work!"

He gestured at the chairs next to the runway. "Please welcome--" he frowned as Beaker handed him the list, "--Sparkle, Brooke, Keyleth, and..Camden."

This wasn't exactly what he meant when he'd asked Beaker to round up some catty judges. Oh well!

"Listen for your names!"

As someone who had suffered a gremlin bite and actually didn't mind it too terribly, Sidon couldn't help but grinning (somehow) even more. "Well, then, you shall simply have to leave that part to my capable hands!" he decided enthusiastically. "I fear no gremlin! I can bite just as hard," no, he wasn't going to go biting gremlins back...probably, "and outweigh them considerably."

"Do their bites even affect you?" Tip wondered. "Since you're so much bigger than most humanoids on the island?"

"Oh," Sidon chuckled, "I assure you, they most certainly do. There is a theory that they don't last as long for me due to my incredible size, but I have absoltuely fallen victim to one myself. It was well worth it, though, I must say. Not only was Prompto able to capture a fastically dynamic photograph of the creature in action, but it sparked a chain of events that actually led me to asking out my beloved Vette!"

Leave it to Sidon to be schmoopy even over a gremlin bite.

"So I must admit, I have difficulty seeing what all the fuss is about them, though I suppose I have seen some that I understand might make one hesitate to experience such a sesnsation again."

In a different sort of Fandom, gremlins would be used as illicit drugs, wouldn't they.

"I'm just not that into things messing with my brain," Tip said. "But I might be a little bit of a control freak."

"And that," said Sidon with a firm, emphatic nod, "is completely understandable. I shall be more than happy to handle all of the gremlin dressing and handling, in that case, and perhaps I shall you to control the clothing itself, especially since it is an area of expertise I am not exactly too familiar with. Did you have anything particular in mind for our soon-to-be gremlin fashionista?"

"T-shirt dress with a rope belt?"

Tip was much better at making fashion by combining clothes than she was at making clothes themselves.

"Well," said Sidon, frowning maybe a little but clearly trying not to show his disappoitnment with that suggestion, "that's a bit...straightforward, isn't it? Perhaps...perhaps I can use some knotwork to make a sort of...vest to go over the dress? And we can cut piece of felt to look like jewels to accent it?"

He was basically just desribing his own jewelry as translated as best he could to some sort of clothing.

"Or a sash," he mushed. "I am a bit partial toward a good sash."

"I am totally pro-sash," Tip said. "Do you want to work on that and I'll . . . make the dress?"

She was basically going to staple parts of the two t-shirts she'd grabbed together.

And that would create a lovely metal accent that Sidon wouldn't help but to feel incredibly charmed by.

"What an excellent and efficient division of labor!" he remarked. "Wonderful! We have a plan! And then we shall have created the most stately gremlin sash with the most marvelous dress to match for our very lucky model! How splendid!"
