Even Anakin wasn't going to invite the entire town to stand outside in radiation and next to a bomb just for a day of competition (though yes, he had considered in for a hot minute). Today's event was being held in the community center and the flickering lights and general malaise just kind of added to what would be the world's weirdest fashion show.

Because, yes, there was a catwalk set up down the center, currently being sat upon by a small herd (committee? Murder?) of gremlins.

"Today we will reprise last year's highly popular gremlin fashion show," Anakin yelled into the completely unnecessary bullhorn.

It was only popular if you'd talked to Sparkle and Brooke, who'd been judges last year, but details. "You will be paired up!" Anakin continued. "You will have a variety of crafting supplies including macrame patterns, felt, rope, yarn, glue, staplers, and stun guns!"

Stun guns were craft supplies if you squinted? Maybe?

"You will have a half hour to create your masterpiece, another fifteen minutes to fit your model into it without getting bitten--" so good luck with that, "and then send him, her, or them down the runway for our guest judges to assess your work!"

He gestured at the chairs next to the runway. "Please welcome--" he frowned as Beaker handed him the list, "--Sparkle, Brooke, Keyleth, and..Camden."

This wasn't exactly what he meant when he'd asked Beaker to round up some catty judges. Oh well!

"Listen for your names!"

"Cuuuuute!" Prompto decided, trying to picture it, first by itself, which was why he could say it was cute, and then on a gremlin, which....ehhhhh, cute if you were generous, but of course he wouldn't say that, he'd seen gremlin bites in action and he was totally okay with buttering up gremlins if it meant not getting bitten. "We could maybe, like, do a matching skirt and vest with, like, the macrame as a border trim accent? Or, like...plaid skirt, and use a solid color for the vest to cut time but with, like, a cute plaid pocket accent or something. Oooooh, solid outside," he pointed in at himself and then his fingers moved out as if turning something over, "plaid lining inside. Yeah?"

Man, he missed fashion class so much! Why did he have to be so good at idea and then totally fail at the executsion? Ugh, so unfair!

"That is an excellent idea," Hannibal said. "Plaid lining and pocket square, plus skirt, and then a solid vest. "With this for the plaid," he held up the puce-and-magenta he was weaving together, "do you think the mustard for the solid, or the mauve?" For maximum contrasting monstrosity.

"Mmmmmmmm," Prompto narrowed his eyes a little as he tried to envision it. "Let's go....mauve. I think, like, the mustard might be a little too much, man."

Which was saying a lot, coming from this little mismatch of fashion statements rolled up into a hyper-energetic ball that mostly just wanted to go with the mustard on the pure basis of him being Yellow Diamond. But even he had some limits.

Hannibal could have gone either way, so, "Mauve it is. Can you cut a pattern?" He was better at wearing them than making them himself.
