Summer Games: Wednesday, The Park [morning]

"Good morning!" Anakin yelled into the megaphone from the small platform he had erected in the park. "Students, please listen for your names and find your partner or partners as your name is called: Sidon and Aloy; Jason and Rey; Bobby and Paris; Ahsoka and Uma; Theron and Peridot; Astrid and Norman; Tip, Sabine and Beaker."

Once the students were in place, Anakin held up a sheaf of paper in his hand. "Today, with the help of the proprietors in town, we're conducting a Scavenger Hunt. You have a very long list: You must find 15 of the items from that list and either take a picture or video of yourselves completing the tasks. Whoever completes their 15 in the shortest amount of time will win the coveted, terrifying, singing fish," he said, holding his hand out for it to fly to him. It was still shrieking Sabotage as it flew, but now it also rained confetti on anyone close enough to be in its flight path. As Anakin held it, it treated the entire group to holographic footage of Theron being chased by a Roomba.

You're welcome, Theron.

"Right," Anakin said slowly. "Someone come take this thing from me as quickly as possible. On your marks, get set, go."

The crowd's probably a little thinner this time because the shop owners were in their shops, but the Perk had sent people down with their latest drink creations.

Spoiler: The Gremlin Bite was very, very terrible. And green. And waaaay too sweet.

Steve didn't have a shop, but it was a nice day and he'd gotten used to ambling over to the park to see what ridiculousness was in store this week, so he had a breakfast sandwich (okay, three breakfast sandwiches) and an ill-advised Gremlin Bite frozen coffee whatever and was ready to cheer everyone on.

Cristina had been planning to avoid Fandom's Events like the plague after getting involuntarily roped into the last one. But there was literally nothing to do on this island, and she didn't do not doing anything well when she wasn't, you know, actively traumatized. So she ended up in the park. At least they had coffee.

She took a sip and promptly spit it back into her cup. "Oh my god, what is this? Green glucola?" She shook her head and handed the cup back. "Give me real coffee. You people should be ashamed."

Kanan was absolutely here. He was missing this spectator sport for nothing. Hell, he'd brought his dog along, because if there was anything that these students absolutely needed, it was further distraction on their way to go scavenge, naturally.

Stance was behaving himself, even, staying next to Kanan's side and prancing about a little, but not actually running off to tackle anyone unless Kanan gave him permission to.

At this point, honestly, Astrid was looking forward to these things just to see how crazy they'd get. A bit of masochism on her part, perhaps, since she would also be participating, but she'd managed to get out unscathed so far, so she felt confident that she could keep up the trend.

Yeah, Rosa was here, scoping things out. It was sort of her job or something, she could argue, but that would indicate that she cared, and she didn't, so she was just there, looking for reasons to laugh at someone.

She would still probably blame it on the squirrels, though, if anyone asked.

Uma was just going to, you know, keep this phone when they were done with...however much of this they were doing. On the one hand, a scavenger hunt sounded a lot like treasure hunting, which was a lot of fun. On the other hand, she had seen the prize and that was no goddamn treasure.

SCAVENGER HUNT

1. Get a photo of some squishy puppy toes (Furnado Animal Shelter)
2. Pick a colour of nail polish by the counter and paint your nails (Demon Marcus)
3. Pick an instrument. Play your favourite song on that instrument. Bonus points if you don't know how to play that instrument at all (Groovy Tunes)
4. Successfully complete the Oregon Trail game set up there (The C.I.C.)
5. Select and drink a small potion, record its effects (minor moddable aesthetic change: ie. changing your hair color/texture/turning it to feathers, covering you in blue polka dots, wears off after about 3 hours or so) (Magic Box)
6. Take a photo with the polar bear that lives in the freezer (Luke's)
7. Figure out which of the mailboxes is the one that lets out 900 LIVE LADYBUGS when you open it, and take a selfie with yourself screaming. (Post Office)
8. Record yourself jamming with the zombie band (Caritas)
9. Dress a mannequin for the window display (Clothes Over Bros)
10. Make a soup can tower display, only customers keep taking the cans at critical points of structural integrity. Bonus points for creativity in design (Turtle & Canary)
11. Make a flower arrangement and take a picture of it. Bonus points for creativity.(Covent Garden Flowers)
12. Take a selfie with a gremlin
13. Get "alot" of candy (available in the streets around Wonka's -- may or may not lead to you being followed by alot of Clone Troopers, though)
14. A drop/add form from the office (which is also a good place to get a gremlin selfie without being bitten, if Bob is there)
15. Retrieve Chocolate cherries from the Xanthified section of the Rooftop Emo Garden
16. Get someone else's shirt -- and visual evidence that the owner is now shirtless. (This could be a picture, or it could just be bringing the shirtless person with you to wherever the final tally is being conducted.)
17. Get video of Hannibal "psychoanalyzing" you (three questions, nothing actually invasive) (Fandom Island Counseling Services and Psychiatry).
18. Convince a Trooper to take off his helmet, and then take a selfie wearing said helmet (Fandom Trooper Station)
19. Make a bookmark out of papier mache and written off books (Book Haven)
20. Pick a face mask and wear it for the rest of the scavenger hunt (Pick Your Poison)
21. Locate a radio squirrel spying on you and take a picture.
