Summer Games: Wednesday, The Park [morning]

"Good morning!" Anakin yelled into the megaphone from the small platform he had erected in the park. "Students, please listen for your names and find your partner or partners as your name is called: Sidon and Aloy; Jason and Rey; Bobby and Paris; Ahsoka and Uma; Theron and Peridot; Astrid and Norman; Tip, Sabine and Beaker."

Once the students were in place, Anakin held up a sheaf of paper in his hand. "Today, with the help of the proprietors in town, we're conducting a Scavenger Hunt. You have a very long list: You must find 15 of the items from that list and either take a picture or video of yourselves completing the tasks. Whoever completes their 15 in the shortest amount of time will win the coveted, terrifying, singing fish," he said, holding his hand out for it to fly to him. It was still shrieking Sabotage as it flew, but now it also rained confetti on anyone close enough to be in its flight path. As Anakin held it, it treated the entire group to holographic footage of Theron being chased by a Roomba.

You're welcome, Theron.

"Right," Anakin said slowly. "Someone come take this thing from me as quickly as possible. On your marks, get set, go."

"So I guess we're doing this," Aloy said, looking at the crowd in hopes of finding a distinctively fishy shape nearby.

That distinctively fishy shape was never too hard to find, no. The enthusiasm certainly helped, and there was plenty of that as Sidon grinned down at his partner.

"Indeed we are!" he said brightly. "What a fantastic idea! This should prove a good way to perhaps get to know the island a little better, don't you think? Such a shame that there are but a mere fifteen items!"

It certainly wasn't 900 freaking Korok seeds, anyway.

"I think fifteen is about enough," said Aloy who'd be spending a lot of time checking things off her minimap in the future. "I didn't think anyone would be that enthousiastic about this, actually. Where do you want to start?"

"Hmmmmm." Sidon stroked his chin a little as he considered the list again. "Why not the animal shelter? I work there, so I know those squishy puppy feet well! Plus, it's on the far side of the island, so we can start there and work our way back to the park based on the list."

"Works for me," Aloy said.

She'd decided not to take this too seriously, anyway. "How about you lead the way? You're the one who works there."

"Gladly!" said Sidon, clearly making up for the enthusiasm for the both of them as he waved his arm and started walking, chuckling slightly. "Pity the causeway is in the way, otherwise perhaps we could have taken a swimming short cut!"
