BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday Morning

The glittery enthusiasm of the 'Fandom High' banner strung across the wall was a little unexpected, but at least it confirmed Vider was where she was supposed to be, even if no one else appeared to be here yet. That part wasn't surprising, considering how early her flight had gotten in, but she seemed to be dealing with the earliness of the hour remarkably well. It might have had something to do with the fact that she was getting used to never getting quite enough sleep any more.

One of the trainers at the Hangadrottin War College had shoved a wad of unfamiliar money into her hand this morning, 'for the journey,' like she was going to some foreign country and not just the East coast. Still, she wasn't going to turn down money so she'd taken it without complaint and used some of it to buy a tea and pastry for breakfast, and once she picked out a seat by the wall where she could prop her spear case and sword up, she settled in to eat, picking the pastry apart into little shreds before putting them in her mouth.

So far this boarding school thing didn't seem so bad, although she was reserving final judgment until she'd actually seen the school.

Raleigh shifted the strap of his bag a few times before getting it somewhere comfortable. He wasn't nervous about this or anything. Hell no. This was just starting a different high school than expected. Across the country.

So. There was that.

"Fandom High," Raleigh confirmed, not staring at the tattoo at all. It had to be a sticker, right? Right?

"So what do you know about this place?" Alana asked curiously. The guy looked nervous; she wondered if maybe he knew something she didn't.

No stranger to interdimentional, interspace, or intertime travel, Danny had very little figuring out where he needed to be to help him get to school, though the terminal as a whole had him incredibly distracted. Along with his usual luggage, there were now several bags of chintzy souvenirs and other random crap that had managed to suck him in to send to his fellow Warriors back home.

"Alright!" he said, once he found the terminal for Fandom High and regarded the sign approvingly. "Fandom High, here we come!"

"Who are you talking to?" Raleigh didn't understand the need for needless exposition when he wasn't inside a giant, monster-fighting robot.

But as soon as he was in that robot, it was time to shout everything.

Isaac was still being a sullen little werewolf over having to go to school across the country, but he was past the point where he looked all broody about it. Instead he looked around curiously, eyeing the other people waiting for the shuttle and resisting the urge to be that guy who pretended to text when he didn't have anything else to do.

Raleigh gave the other guy a manly nod of acknowledgement that meant he wouldn't have to initiate conversation. Those were the rules of the dude code.

He caught Alana's eye, and she gave him a once-over right back. Nothing personal; she was just trying to figure out why nobody else had wings.

There were two ways Minsc could go about his return to Fandom Island. He could just fight his way through the wilderness to find his way there or he could take the shuttle. He didn't need to take the shuttle, and fighting his way there would be an awful lot of fun, but...

"Ahhh, Boo," he sighed, looking fondly around the terminal with his hands on his hips, much as a lord might survey his territory, "memories! It is so rare that I can remember them, so it is good to relive them, right? I wonder who will be driving the bus! Maybe you can finally learn to drive and do it next time, Boo!"

Considering he was conversing with a tiny little easily missed hamster on his shoulder, odds were it looked as though he might be talking to himself to the less observant passerby, especially since Boo himself was hardly very talkative.

"What species is that?" Alana asked, indicating the hamster. "Does he talk?"

Given her world, this was a perfectly rational and sincere question.

Isabelle many many bags by her high-heeled feet. She needed a lot of stuff! Packing had taken ages. She was debating using that as an excuse for why she hadn't actually told Alec she was coming, when he'd inevitably freak out over the surprise.

Really, she'd just thought it'd be funny.

And standing next to her bags in her clothes that showed off her body while covering it all up (because Marks and old scars, no use troubling the mundies yet), Isabelle was looking around with open curiosity. And not just because her Sensor was in her bag and she was trying to play Spot the Potential Downworlder without it.

Considering that a good part of his going to this school was for the opportunity to smooch all up on some twenty-first century girls and prove Wallow wrong, of course Danny was going to mosey on over to the cute girl.

"Hey," said Captain Obvious Vasquez, "that's a lot of bag you got there. Need any help with those?"

He figured she would either totally appreciate the offer or completely think him a wad for thinking she needed help and be snarky like Beth, both of which seemed like excellent options for progress.

That was a lot of luggage. Of course, this was a private school, Vider had to expect there would be rich kids here. She reminded herself she was a berserker of Odin and lifted her chin to the other girl, greeting her with, "Are you going to the school?"

Alana sat down on her trunk and absently popped her gum as she looked around with wide eyes. She'd never even heard of Earth before she got the brochure about the school, but so far it seemed like a pretty nice planet. It was clean and nobody was fighting, anyhow.

Her wings rested lightly on her shoulders, peeking out from under the straps of her tank top.

Vider was not going to stare at the wings. Some people had weird ancestry, it was none of her business to judge. She didn't know what got you wings, but...whatever. "Hello," she said to Alana. "Are you going to Fandom High?"

No cute girl was going to be left unattended, if Danny had anything to do with it. He drifted on over, put on his best smile, and lifted a hand in a wave.

"Hey, I'm Danny."

Sometimes, a simple start was what worked best.

Okay, yeah, truth be told, Scott was more than a little bummed out that going to a boarding school meant no Stiles, but he was trying to look on the bright side. He'd never actually been outside California before, so it was kind of like an adventure. And there was a distinct lack of Jackson Whittemore as far as he knew, so that was definitely a plus. Yeah. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

If, you know, he had any idea where he was going. Right now he was just kind of wandering aimlessly through the airport. It was that aimless wandering that brought him past a particular lounge, and so he poked his head in the doorway out of curiosity.
