The glittery enthusiasm of the 'Fandom High' banner strung across the wall was a little unexpected, but at least it confirmed Vider was where she was supposed to be, even if no one else appeared to be here yet. That part wasn't surprising, considering how early her flight had gotten in, but she seemed to be dealing with the earliness of the hour remarkably well. It might have had something to do with the fact that she was getting used to never getting quite enough sleep any more.

One of the trainers at the Hangadrottin War College had shoved a wad of unfamiliar money into her hand this morning, 'for the journey,' like she was going to some foreign country and not just the East coast. Still, she wasn't going to turn down money so she'd taken it without complaint and used some of it to buy a tea and pastry for breakfast, and once she picked out a seat by the wall where she could prop her spear case and sword up, she settled in to eat, picking the pastry apart into little shreds before putting them in her mouth.

So far this boarding school thing didn't seem so bad, although she was reserving final judgment until she'd actually seen the school.

Raleigh shifted the strap of his bag a few times before getting it somewhere comfortable. He wasn't nervous about this or anything. Hell no. This was just starting a different high school than expected. Across the country.

So. There was that.

No stranger to interdimentional, interspace, or intertime travel, Danny had very little figuring out where he needed to be to help him get to school, though the terminal as a whole had him incredibly distracted. Along with his usual luggage, there were now several bags of chintzy souvenirs and other random crap that had managed to suck him in to send to his fellow Warriors back home.

"Alright!" he said, once he found the terminal for Fandom High and regarded the sign approvingly. "Fandom High, here we come!"

Isaac was still being a sullen little werewolf over having to go to school across the country, but he was past the point where he looked all broody about it. Instead he looked around curiously, eyeing the other people waiting for the shuttle and resisting the urge to be that guy who pretended to text when he didn't have anything else to do.

"Who are you talking to?" Raleigh didn't understand the need for needless exposition when he wasn't inside a giant, monster-fighting robot.

But as soon as he was in that robot, it was time to shout everything.

Hannibal parked, found the section where the students were waiting, and wondered what on earth had possessed someone to think that banner was at all tasteful.

Then again, perhaps they had been possessed. He made a note to look up if that sort of thing could happen, and turned to the young people waiting there.

"You are the new students?"

Raleigh gave the other guy a manly nod of acknowledgement that meant he wouldn't have to initiate conversation. Those were the rules of the dude code.

No take-backs.

There were two ways Minsc could go about his return to Fandom Island. He could just fight his way through the wilderness to find his way there or he could take the shuttle. He didn't need to take the shuttle, and fighting his way there would be an awful lot of fun, but...

"Ahhh, Boo," he sighed, looking fondly around the terminal with his hands on his hips, much as a lord might survey his territory, "memories! It is so rare that I can remember them, so it is good to relive them, right? I wonder who will be driving the bus! Maybe you can finally learn to drive and do it next time, Boo!"

Considering he was conversing with a tiny little easily missed hamster on his shoulder, odds were it looked as though he might be talking to himself to the less observant passerby, especially since Boo himself was hardly very talkative.

Isabelle many many bags by her high-heeled feet. She needed a lot of stuff! Packing had taken ages. She was debating using that as an excuse for why she hadn't actually told Alec she was coming, when he'd inevitably freak out over the surprise.

Really, she'd just thought it'd be funny.

And standing next to her bags in her clothes that showed off her body while covering it all up (because Marks and old scars, no use troubling the mundies yet), Isabelle was looking around with open curiosity. And not just because her Sensor was in her bag and she was trying to play Spot the Potential Downworlder without it.

It was probably the same people who felt 'Werewolf Bar Mitzvah' was a good dance theme.

So. There was that.

"Hey."

Oh goddammit, that wasn't fair. Isaac returned the nod, and obeyed the rules of the dude code because he actually spoke up. "You waiting to go to boarding school too?"

Isaac did not look thrilled with the idea. You know who got sent to boarding schools? Unloved people. Didn't you love him, Scott?

"Hello." Hannibal nodded. "I'm Doctor Hannibal Lecter. I teach at the school and will apparently be your ride this morning."

Let's hope they were Jewish already; even Hannibal might hesitate before performing a teenage werewolf bris.

Take nothing for granted.

Scott loved everyone. Even the people who tried to kill him and his mom.

"Yeah. Where you coming from?"

"No one in particular," Danny admitted easily, shrugging a shoulder and giving the other young man a charming, lopsided grin. "Just pumping myself up, man. Getting the mojo moving. That new school groooove."

Why, yes, those were little wavy groovy hand gestures in the air.

"I'm Danny, man," he added, turning a groovy hand into an offered hand. "Nice to meet ya."

Wow, this was going to be one fancy as all hell school.

"Uh, nice to meet you," Raleigh replied with a wave. "I'm Raleigh Becket."

You know, in case there was sheet to sign off on.

The only list was in Hannibal's head, but he mentally checked off Raleigh's name. "Nice to meet you, Raleigh. Is that," he nodded at the bag over Raleigh's shoulder, "your only luggage?"

"Raleigh," he replied, taking said hand for a totally manly shake. "You're excited about this?"

"Oooh-hooo!" said Danny, grinning from ear to ear as he scoped out and started boarding the shuttle bus. "Vintage-y!"

Never mind the fact that it was really shocking how little bus design had changed over the next one thousand fifty years.

"California. The northern part." The part that allowed you to wear scarves a lot. "You?"

"Aren't you?" Danny asked, brows lifting in considerable surprise. "I mean, I'm totally shivved about this. I've never been to the twenty-first century before. It's going to be bah-hoooonk-eeeerrrs, in, like, the good way, not the bad way."

Well hey there, overly attractive girl. Standing near the group to go to the possibly horrible boarding school.

Hey girl, heeeey.

Raleigh just shuffled awkwardly. Because he was an idiot fourteen year old.

"Well, yeah."

Oh, teenage boys. Not packing nearly enough.
