Detention, Depths of the Castle, Wednesday

The good news for everyone in detention was that there wasn't any sign of singing going on on the island today, so everyone could be spared from any further embarrassing admissions that they'd rather not have made.

The bad news was for everyone in detention was, well, they were all still in detention. But surely, it was getting easier to deal with over time?

It was cold again today, but possibly contained fruit. Or something that at least looked like fruit. The only way to find out for sure was to eat!

Dinah was in a -- strangely good mood. Singing out her feelings sucked. Having Sam be okay with it wasn't as bad.

There was no singing today. But there might have been humming.

Cassidy poked at her food today. She hadn't eaten much (or at all) yesterday, and she knew she needed to get some kind of food into her system so she could heal a little bit from yesterday.

Stark took a tentative bite of the thing that looked like fruit and then spat it back out. He knew he had to eat, and he would, but he wasn't going to eat that. At least not right now. He'd probably regret this choice later on.

Hanna poked at the possible fruit, not really wanting to find out that's what it was for sure. She was way too suspicious of breakfast today, so she skipped.

Goose didn't have to shovel his food down this morning and so was back to his normal eating routine. The thing that looked like fruit didn't make it taste any better but he still finished what was on his plate.

Jack ate the fruit and ignored most of the rest of his tray -- until, grudgingly, he finally ate it too.

He wished he could have the escape of sleep for a few hours more.

Sam poked at his breakfast with a forlorn expression. Admitting to Dinah that he knew Peter wasn't really with him had been hard, but hearing Peter tell him not to eat the probably-not-really-fruit bits was harder. It was possible he wasn't going to eat anything this morning.

Britta lifted a spoon, narrowing her eyes at the little bright pieces of something in her breakfast today, and she shook her head. "I bet it's not even organic," she murmured, and set the spoon back down.

At least she was going to be able to fit into her really, really tight jeans easier by the day.

Possibly still freaking out about the singing yesterday, Florida decided to stay in this morning.

Instead, it was Leda who dragged herself out of bed to come get breakfast. She actually looked a bit like she'd had a fantastic time the night before, and was paying for it now.

Liara was still suffering from extreme mortification after yesterday, so instead of wandering around, she had sat down in a corner. She looked mildly put out about everything.

K-Mart just sort of sat there, staring down at her hands. She did a lot of that nowadays.

Occasionally she looked up to frantically make sure she wasn't hallucinating anything -- that one had happened more than once.

If there was no singing, today, there was no particular need for Jonothon to sit in the darkest corner he could find, glowering at everyone who so much as opened their mouths.

Which, really, worked out for everyone, didn't it?

Sookie had been quiet and non-responsive yesterday, but today she at least moved to a new location in the room to huddle up.

It was almost like progress, if you squinted.

Stark was pacing in a small section of the room today, muttering to himself. Being left alone by any and all visitors for 2 days had him worried. It couldn't be a good thing, no matter how it looked on the surface. Something was going to get worse. Something always got worse. And Stark's sanity wasn't going to be the only thing that suffered, he was sure of that.

Goose was glad that the singing had stopped and could go back to sitting quietly in his usual spot with his thoughts and not feel the need to share them with everyone else.

Sookie didn't touch her dinner, no. She wasn't even looking at much of anyone -- she'd retreated into her own mind and was rocking, carefully, in the corner.

Raven hadn't hurt her today. But it had almost been worse.

Savannah is trying to get a headcount of how many prisoners would need extra help getting out of the detention center and to care when the attack comes and who could fight on their own.

If you wouldn't mind Savannah knowing which of those two groups your characters fit in so she can let the resistance know, would you guys please comment here and let me know? I'd appreciate it. :D
