Detention, Depths of the Castle, Wednesday
The good news for everyone in detention was that there wasn't any sign of singing going on on the island today, so everyone could be spared from any further embarrassing admissions that they'd rather not have made.
The bad news was for everyone in detention was, well, they were all still in detention. But surely, it was getting easier to deal with over time?

There might have, unwisely, been a smile creeping across Cassidy's face at that.
[[OOC: I am asleep, too, because I didn't even notice.]]

Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
"Karla can beat you," she sing-songed. "She has her power and her sanity and is free like the birds."

Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
"It's what I know," she said with a rare show of confidence. "If she were truly broken like that, you would not be so angry. Karla is caged only by her determination to fight against people like you and that pink-clad tainted daughter of a whoreson bitch that you serve so faithfully."
Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
"All the more pleasure to me, then, to break it down." She called her Soul-Self forth, its black edges shimmering with red and gold, and let it loom over Cassidy. "I will strip your mind bare and find your darkest fears, and I will make them come true," she promised.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
"I have no more hidden fears," she said rashly. "Everything that I have ever feared has come to pass. I'm a broken witch, unable to reach my Jewels, basic Craft or even touch the land that feeds my soul. What more can you do to me?"
It was stupid and brave ... and also untrue.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
She made her Soul-Self wrap around Cassidy, trying to plunge her into her darkest nightmare.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
"No," she whimpered. "You can't do that."
It was obvious that she wasn't going to be able fight against Raven for very much longer.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
And in Cassidy's hand, a tiger-eye jewel the crumpled to dust and blew away in the wind.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
She curled her hand around the jewel in her hand and then screamed as it turned to dust and blew away. The breaking of the jewel felt like something inside her was breaking.
Her Jewel had shattered and the land was dying.
"No!" Cassidy screamed, trying to deny what she was seeing and feeling. She tried to make it not be real. "NO NO NO!"

There were whimpers of fear coming from her throat.

Cassidy screamed again, looking for a way to escape what Raven had done to her. Everything dying, her jewel gone, her life dying as the land died.
It was all too much for her on top of everything else and she just curled up in a ball and screamed.
Re: Visiting Hours [07/25]
She leaned over her and placed a kiss on her forehead. "I will see you tomorrow," she promised.
