After ACJ, Janet went up to her room, grabbed her backpack, and came back over to open up the library. She sat down behind the Collections Desk and started to process any library card applications that weren't finished yesterday.

Lee, despite not being a hot book babe, returns to the library as usual to study a bit of Egyptian art for class.

Janet waved at Lee as he walked in.

Angela waves. "So what did you think of Autolycus so far?"

Blair bounced into the library and up to the desk.

"Hi, I need to do some research and stuff here and I need to know what I need to do that."

Wow. New kid. And bouncy at that. Janet took a drink of coffee.

"Did you get a library card yesterday?" she asked. "And what are you researching?"

Pip wanders in. "Hey, I missed the big library cattle call yesterday, is it too late to get one? And, while I'm at it, do you guys happen to have any books on savate? It's a French martial art."

"You're not too late," said Janet, handing over an application. "In fact, missing out on the crowd is sensible. We have books on everything, and the martial arts books are even accessible. Five rows back, third bookshelf in."

"Use the term 'Chosen One' on the application, and we may have words," she said. She'd seen that a lot at the start of last semester. "Blue or black ink only, please. And by the way, I'm Janet Fraiser." She held out her hand. "Nice to meet you."

After returning from town, Bel headed into the library and started browsing the philosophy/religion section, looking not suspicious at all. Really.

Angela crooks an eyebrow at Bel but decides to let him be as she really doesn't want to star Glarefest 3000: Beyond Thunderdome.

Victor didn't have any classes until 4th period, so he spent his morning wandering around the campu. Eventually, he came across a big sign that said LIBRARY, and decided to check it out.

Inside, he was amazed at the size of it, as well as the selection. He noticed what he assumed was the librarian talking with a few students, including Pip. He waited his turn, and when the Librarian acknowledged him he said, "Hey, how's it going? Do I need to get a card for this place?"

"You do," Angela says, joining Janet behind the desk. "Here's the form. Use blue or black ink, write your full name, and -" she rolls her eyes, "I have to tell you not to write you're the chosen one. Even if you are."

"I'm pretty good, you?"

Rory waved to Victor, recognizing him because she doesn't know any other green kids from the common room the other night.

Marty comes into the Library and looks around carefully for the furry librian before taking a seat in a somewhat secluded spot.

Sam waved to Super Snark Avenger Marty from her location at the circulation desk (but not from behind it, because that would be bad, with her being non-library personnel and all).

Ivanova strolls into the library in search of cheesy romance novels serious reading material, spots Janet at the desk, and heads over. "Hello again. Janet, right? I applied for a library card just before break, but I got an uplink from my boss so I had to run before I actually got it."

"Oh, hi, Ivanova," said Janet, smiling at her. "We've been holding your card for you." She unlocked a drawer, pulled out an envelope and rifled through it. "Here it is." She held it out. "Looking for a book for fun, or for schoolwork?"

Sam wandered into the library, and having no homework yet, decided to go harass Janet. Purely in the interest of friendship, of course.

She leaned over on the desk and drawled, "So, I noticed someone forgot her backpack today..."

"Yes," said Janet smugly. "That's exactly what happened. I had to run back to my room after Criminal Justice to pick it up before I came here."

Rory wandered in after fourth period, bouncing over to sit behind the desk.

Elizabeth entered the library, already reading from a sheet of paper.

Janet smiled. "Hey, Liz," she said. "How's the semester going?"

Izzie hesitantly entered the library. Inhaling the familiar smell of books, Izzie begins scanning the space for Janet. As soon as she'd gotten her message, she'd wanted to rush to the library for her card. No matter where she was, the library was always her constat companion.

Seeing Janet, Izzie waves, and approaches her at the Collections Desk.

"Hi," Izzie grins. "I got your message. So how do I go about getting a library card?"

"Fill this application out," said Janet, handing one to Izzie with a grin. "And I'll process it when you're done. So how are you doing today?"
