Library (1/10/06)

After ACJ, Janet went up to her room, grabbed her backpack, and came back over to open up the library. She sat down behind the Collections Desk and started to process any library card applications that weren't finished yesterday.

"Penn is just really good. Oberlin is a really good liberal arts school, which is what I want to study, kind of ... tree-huggy. And they're both close enough that I can go home for the weekend if I have to, far enough that my parents won't be up every three days."

"Or I might stay around here. The University of Maryland's supposed to be nice and my player feels her school deserves a shoutout and it doesn't cost a zillion dollars."

She shrugs. "I guess I just don't know you well enough, y'know? I just don't see soldiers baking stuff or gossiping. But I don't know a ton of them. If your dad's military, you probably know way better than I would."

"Explain tree-huggy," Lee says, confused.

"And yeah, my dad's pretty much against all my other interests -- including baking and gossiping -- but I'll make him proud eventually. I do love flying," he says firmly.

"Tree huggy is, like ... hippie, granola, resist the man, I love you and you love me and we're all one big family, man," Angela explains. "Cool, but a little annoying when it gets to be too much. Probably an earth culture thing. I think that new guy Blair over there could probably explain it better than I can."

"And flying does sound cool. Good luck with your dad."
