Ahhhh. What fun this weekend was for us all. WHAT FUN. And this time it was actually the good weather for shirt removing!

Sam was leaning against a tree now, letting it prop him up so he could sip orange juice slowly and not fall asleep. It'd been a long day and it wasn't even over yet.

He figured Brooke and Ashley would pop up later, asking him about what he'd seen and he didn't know if he'd be able to stay awake enough to tell them. The cold kept him mostly alert though, thankfully.

Lion-o was keeping his shirt on, despite the nice weather for a change. He was also wearing a name tag. But instead of his name, he wrote, "I'm a vegetarian!"

He wasn't, of course, but he hoped it persuaded the new kids that he wouldn't eat them if they stopped to talk to him.

Nathan hadn't left to find a bar just yet. He'd stalked away from Ramona and found a spot on the opposite side of things so he could have a smoke and brood a bit.

Fuck it, in three more days he'd be gone. Not like he had to give a shit about anyone right now, right? Right.

Percy was still around and still eating even if he wasn't near Luke to try and steal his stuff anymore. This time, he had his own stuff and was sitting against a tree while he ate.

There was no spinach between Bod's teeth because he wasn't even eating. He'd grabbed himself a bottle of water and was still enjoying the chill in the air while he walked around.

Sam . . . was gnawing a chicken bone into a point. Hey, you never knew with some people. She might need that later.

At some point, she supposed she'd actually have to try being social, but it was still just a bit intimidating. There were so many new people here, and not the kind where she wouldn't have to look at them ever again. God help her, she was actually thinking of finding Freddie and being nice to him, just 'cause he was someone she already knew.

New schools were hard. Why hadn't anyone warned her about that?

Ramona was getting tired of pretending to be social with people, even if she did like her new roommate and her little sibling. (Poor Dave from Wisconsin. That kid was in for an awakening and a half.)

She'd been awkwardly flirted with (she thought), flounced away from dramatically (and she still didn't really get that), and now she was just sitting in the grass with her hood up. She was tired in general, but goddammit, she was going to watch the new kids. One of them might do something interesting.

Surreal had found the food.

Even two days in Tersa's fussing care hadn't put much meat on her bones yet, and so she was digging into the fresh fruit and vegetables. They were fresh, and looked wonderful. The sweets could wait.

At some point, Puck had done something that was something of a compromise when it came to the shirtlessness.

He'd taken off his shirt, but pulled his jacket back on, leaving it open. Some might say that the shirtless chest/open letterman jacket combination was stupid-looking. Puck, of course, thought it was quite sexy.

Mercy was still here, but she'd found a seat more on the outskirts of the activity where she could watch.

Her mood was decidedly lighter than it had been in a few days, though.

Sookie's normal late-spring picnic behavior -- to lounge in the sun and work on her tan -- was clearly foiled, so she was still tucked to a side in her parka, staying warm as she kept an eye on the new kids. Every now and then, she let her shields down, only to throw them back into place. She didn't want to become overwhelmed.

Karla WHOSE MUN HAS INTERNET AGAIN, YAY!!! had needed some time away from the picnic after meeting her new little sibling. So after going back to her room to 'meditate' (there had been a lot of swearing involved in that meditation) and rein in her temper, Karla made her way back out to the picnic.

No more surprises, Fandom. Okay? Just...no more.

Kate was just about done with her daunting task of third-floorer finding. She looked to be in a good mood as she wandered around, because she was. She was mostly liking the new bunch of students, after all.

Jocelyn had put her coat back on - even if the general trend seemed to be for fewer clothes rather than more - and finally approached the table of food. It was still way, way too much, but she managed to find herself some apples and cheese and felt almost at home.

Rinoa was here. Rinoa was in one of those moods that kept shifting every five minutes, so it might be a roll of the dice to see what anyone would get. But she was snacking on food from the buffet anyway.

Scully had finally quit trying to steal Jake's food, and was now eating a plate of her own, watching the freaked-out looks on the new students faces with sympathy and some bemusement.

Toby had eaten... a fairly ridiculous amount, actually. None of it contained any spinach, though, so he was safe there.

Unfortunately, his telepathy wasn't faring quite as well. As the day wore on, the excited mental chatter of the rest of the picnic-goers was starting to break through the barriers he had to work so hard to keep up. So he was standing a little off to the side, curling his hands into fists over and over as he tried to summon enough concentration to make the voices stop.
