Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

The food? Still there. The school? Still standing. Students? Still mingling.

Ahhhh. What fun this weekend was for us all. WHAT FUN. And this time it was actually the good weather for shirt removing!

"I don't know," Kate replied, quietly snickering. "Were you intending to call yourself lovely?"

No, he probably hadn't meant that.

"No, I was intending to call you lovely," Bod said and kissed her forehead this time. "Lovely, lovely Kate who I love love love."

"So, why couldn't I call you lovely as well?" she wondered, smiling. "I love love love you too."

"You can call me lovely," he assured her, swaying them back and forth a bit. "You can always call me lovely. I like being lovely to you."

"And you so often are," she sighed, happily, smiling up at him. "My lovely English Muffin."

That name was always going to make him laugh. "Cuddle Bunny." Oh, he'd missed the ridiculous pet names. "I'd almost forgotten those names."

Kate buried her face against his neck, snickering. "I hadn't," she mumbled. Zach had only ever wanted to call her Katherine. "Magic Fingers."

"They're not magic, they're just normal," he laughed, arguing just for fun now. That one always made him blush a bit. "Kansas."

"They are magic, Odd Bod," she replied. "Maaagic. Magical. Deal with it."

"They're not magic," he laughed, shaking his head. "They just happen to be very skilled when I touch you."

"To me, that is magic," Kate insisted, nodding against the top of his chest. "That's unexplainable. That's what magic is."

"You sound like you've thought about this," Bod laughed, shaking his head. "Have you?"

"I'm very good at thinking on my feet," she replied. "Also, yes."

"Fine fine," he relented, nuzzling the top of her head. "I will be Magic Fingers, Odd Bod, English Muffin and whatever else you'd like to think of for me and I promise, I won't argue."

He'd just blush.

"Thank you," she murmured. "It's the least you can do after I sighed your yearbook with Cuddle Bunny."

"You did," Bod said and he'd been pretty delighted with that. "I could have taken up a whole page with things I wanted to say to you in yours but I didn't want other people to see them. A lot of my thoughts are just for you."

"Mm, back at you." She was pretty sure she'd even written something to that effect in his year book. "So, do you think you and your thoughts and your magic fingers and everything might wanna join me in my room tonight?"

"I think I might like that quite a lot," Bod said, nodding. "Very much so, in fact."

"Good answer," Kate complimented with a nod. "You're more than welcome to."

"I'd like to," he said and gave her a sweet hug that mostly consisted of him resting his cheek against her hair and holding her tighter. "I'd like to stay with you tonight."

Kate sighed again. "Then you will," she promised. "You will stay and sleep and... other things, with me."

"Excellent," Bod said and kissed her lightly. "Then, I'll see in just a little while so we can get started on all that?"

"Mm-hm," Kate nodded, pulling away from him, though slowly, slowly. "Miss me before you see me again."

"I shall," he said and waved at her as she pulled away. "See you soon."

She blew a kiss at him and was gone. Off to the food tables!
