Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

The food? Still there. The school? Still standing. Students? Still mingling.

Ahhhh. What fun this weekend was for us all. WHAT FUN. And this time it was actually the good weather for shirt removing!

At some point, Puck had done something that was something of a compromise when it came to the shirtlessness.

He'd taken off his shirt, but pulled his jacket back on, leaving it open. Some might say that the shirtless chest/open letterman jacket combination was stupid-looking. Puck, of course, thought it was quite sexy.

It was pretty dumb, but Sam was not immune to a well-formed male.

"Wow. School just started looking up."

Puck shot her a cocky smile. He might be taken, but he wasn't blind, and comments like that were great for his ego. "Always willing to do my part to help the new girls adjust. I'm very selfless."

Except for the fact he was cold, and he'd argued about taking his shirt off in the first place.

"Your sacrifice is noted and appreciated," Sam said.

"You're new," Puck noted, because he was a genius like that. "I haven't been appreciated by you before."

Sam was willing to forgive a lot in a good looking guy. "Uh huh. Just came in this morning. I take it you're not."

"Been here over a year," he said proudly. "Are you feeling welcome yet?"

"Better now I know this place isn't totally full of nubs. My big sib says he's an alien."

"Probably is," Puck agreed. "What's a nub? Sounds dirty."

"Only in the sense that they're gross. You know, they're the people with no life who spend all their time with video games or science tests and things."

"Ahhhh, losers," Puck said wisely. "We through slushies at them at my old school."

Sam laughed. "Yeah, 'cept I'm here 'cause I dumped a smoothie on a cop's head, so I'm thinking I need to get more creative than that."

Angelica just staaaaared.

Puck stared right back over at her. "Pictures last longer, lady."

"I-I'm sorry," Angelica said quickly, blushing. "I didn't mean to stare." Shirtless boys weren't common in any of her former schools.

"I don't mind being stared at. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't stunned you into silence," Puck assured her cockily.

"Um, no?" Angelica said. She wasn't quite speechless. Just mostly.

"Hi, I'm Angelica," she said awkwardly.

"Puck," he supplied with a lazy wave. "You look new."

She acted new, too, what with still appreciating his hotness and being stunned by it.

"I am," she admitted, blushing more, looking down at the grass so she wouldn't stare at his bare chest. "I'm here for the summer, part of it at least."

"What, you didn't get the whole summer deal?" he asked, pouting at her.

"I'm only supposed to be here until my old school is done with their renovations," Angelica said. Awww, that pout was so cute. "Then Ms. Frost will bring me home."

"You should stay," Puck replied, shrugging. "This place is awesome."

"It's different," Angelica agreed. "I mean, we have to wear uniforms. Not, um...." She flailed a hand at Puck's chest.

Just because Surreal had no desire to bed a male anytime in the next century or two didn't mean she couldn't appreciate a body like that, and she stuck two fingers in her mouth to whistle. Loudly.

For the two years she'd had tutors, none of them had done well with teaching her manners.

"Thank you, ma'am!" Puck called over, tossing off a salute in her direction. That was kinda impressive.
